2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Half-PPR Mock (11th Pick)

Updated: Sunday, August 10, 2025

The best way to become good at something is to practice. So, what should you do if you want to draft a better fantasy football team?

Practice, of course!

Leading up to the start of the 2025 NFL season, we will use the fantasy football mock draft simulator to complete fantasy football mock drafts. And we will do so using a variety of scoring formats — point per reception (PPR), half-PPR, standard scoring and even 2-QB leagues — and league sizes. The goal is to provide you with a good representation of the team that you may be able to draft given your league settings while also providing the rationale of why we made the picks we did.

> Our 2025 mocks will be centralized here: Fantasy Football Mock Drafts.

That said, nothing beats practicing yourself so (check out the simulator) and complete a mock in a matter of minutes.

Half-PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 11th Pick

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.11 - Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans

Collins has missed seven games over the past two seasons, but the now 26-year-old receiver has averaged 85.3 YPG (fifth best), 15.6 Y/R (eighth) and scored a total of 15 touchdowns (tied, 10th) over that span (among wide receivers with at least 100 targets). He has finished among the top three wide receivers in PFF's Y/RR metric in each of the past two seasons — 3.11 (second) in 2023 and 2.87 (third) in 2024, respectively. If Collins can stay healthy for a full season, the emerging superstar could truly make a jump into the top tier of fantasy receivers in 2025.

2.02 - Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Among the top 10 receivers in fantasy points per game, seven of them missed multiple games in 2024. While Thomas was 11th on a per-game basis, he played a full season and finished fourth in fantasy points. As injuries sidelined Jacksonville's other top 2024 pass catchers (Evan Engram and Christian Kirk), Thomas stepped up down the stretch with all six of his double-digit target games occuring in the final six weeks of the season. During that span, he had the second-most targets (70) behind only Ja'Marr Chase (75) and ranked top five in catches (45), yards (593) and touchdowns (five). While Engram and Kirk are no longer in Jacksonville, the Jags upgraded their No. 2 receiver opposite Thomas by trading up to draft Travis Hunter, last year's Heisman Trophy and Biletnikoff Award winner (among many other awards). Hunter's presence may cut slightly into his target domination, but secondaries will have to give Hunter more defensive attention than they would have to their pre-draft No. 2 wideout(s).

3.11 - Davante Adams, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Adams, who was traded midseason from the Raiders to the Jets, still managed to extend his streak of 1,000-yard, eight-TD seasons to five. Even though he turns 33 on Christmas Eve and won't dominate targets the way he had at previous stops, he should have (or come close to having) another 1,000/8 season.

4.02 - Omarion Hampton, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Perhaps his outlook is even rosier in dynasty leagues than redraft given the presence of Najee Harris, but Hampton should emerge as the team's lead back by season's end. Harris's "superficial eye injury" will almost certainly accelerate that shift. Currently, there is no update on when Harris will return although he's walking laps around the field as "part of his rehab process."

Aaron Rodgers: Rodgers was QB19 on a per-game basis in 2024 with Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams (for 11 games). Yes, the Steelers traded for Jonnu Smith, but the receiving corps is a downgrade from what he had last year and it will be interesting to see how he and DK Metcalf mesh. While the four-time NFL Most Valuable Player will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, there's zero reason to draft Rodgers in standard (single-QB) leagues.

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team PPR Mock (9th Pick)

Updated: Sunday, August 10, 2025

PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 9th Pick

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.09 - Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions

St. Brown has been a model of consistency — year in and year out, week in and week out. ARSB has 90-plus catches in all four seasons, 1,161-plus yards in the past three seasons, and double-digit touchdowns in back-to-back seasons. He had five-plus catches in 14 of 17 games last season and his other games were four, three and two catches. Only Ja'Marr Chase (15) had more such games in 2024, and he's tied with Davante Adams for the most five-catch games (49) since 2021, per Stathead.

2.04 - Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Among the top 10 receivers in fantasy points per game, seven of them missed multiple games in 2024. While Thomas was 11th on a per-game basis, he played a full season and finished fourth in fantasy points. MORE: 2025 Jacksonville Jaguars Fantasy Football Projections

3.09 - Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Evans, who will turn 32 in August, extended his remarkable streak of 1,000-yard seasons to 11 (albeit just barely: 1,004 yards) in 2024. While he missed three games last season, Evans remains one of the most dominant red-zone weapons in the league — 24 receiving touchdowns over the past two seasons and double-digit scores in four of the past five years.

4.04 - Kenneth Walker III, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Walker has missed multiple games in each of his three NFL seasons including six missed games last year. While he averaged only 3.7 yards per carry and 4.4 yards per touch, both career lows, his PFF elusive rating (113.5) was a career high and the third most among all running backs with at least 100 carries in 2024. Walker should benefit from the new coaching staff's heavy use of outside zone and there is plenty of upside if his health cooperates.

Bryce Young: Young was benched after a terrible start through the first two weeks last season (only 225 passing yards, 4.01 Y/A, no touchdowns and three interceptions). He didn't start again until Week 8, but he played much better, especially over the final three games (64.8%, 7.0 Y/A, seven touchdowns and no interceptions). After Carolina's Week 11 bye, Young was the QB8 in fantasy PPG (21.2) through the end of the season.

Jalen Hurts: In the same year that Saquon Barkley rushed for over 2,000 yards, Hurts set a career low as a full-time starter in pass attempts per game (24.1). In fact, that was a drop of 7.5 per game from his 2023 average (31.6). He finished 2024 throwing for only 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Even with Barkley's rushing greatness last season, Hurts extended streaks of 150-plus carries (to three seasons), 600-plus rushing yards (four) and double-digit rushing scores (four). Over the past four years, Hurts has compiled 611/2,779/52 rushing in 62 games, equivalent to 9.51 fantasy points per game from rushing stats alone. In addition, only two players (both running backs) — Derrick Henry (51) and Josh Jacobs (42) — come within 10 rushing touchdowns of Hurts (52) during that span, per Stathead. (Josh Allen is tied for fourth (40) with Joe Mixon and Jonathan Taylor.)

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Super Flex Half-PPR Mock (4th Pick)

Updated: Saturday, August 9, 2025

The best way to become good at something is to practice. So, what should you do if you want to draft a better fantasy football team?

Practice, of course!

Leading up to the start of the 2025 NFL season, we will use the fantasy football mock draft simulator to complete fantasy football mock drafts. And we will do so using a variety of scoring formats — point per reception (PPR), half-PPR, standard scoring and even 2-QB leagues — and league sizes. The goal is to provide you with a good representation of the team that you may be able to draft given your league settings while also providing the rationale of why we made the picks we did.

Super Flex Half-PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 4th Pick

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Super Flex (QB/RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.04 - Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

There are a clear elite four (fantasy) quarterbacks in two mini tiers — Josh Allen with Lamar Jackson, then Jayden Daniels with Jalen Hurts. With Allen, Jackson and Daniels taken 1-2-3 in this Super Flex mock, it made sense to take Hurts here. Even though Joe Burrow went 1.05, I would have taken Ja'Marr Chase in that slot if I were picking one spot later. With a 2,000-yard season from Saquon Barkley, it's not surprising that Hurts set a career low as a full-time starter in pass attempts per game (24.1). The passing numbers were down, but Hurts' elite rushing production continued. He extended streaks of 150-plus carries (to three seasons), 600-plus rushing yards (four) and double-digit rushing scores (four). Over the past four years, Hurts has compiled 611/2,779/52 rushing in 62 games, equivalent to 9.51 fantasy points per game from rushing stats alone.

MORE: Jalen Hurts 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook

2.09 - Malik Nabers, WR, New York Giants

Perhaps Jaxson Dart will provide a real long-term upgrade, but New York's 2025 quarterback situation is both below average and yet also an upgrade over what they had last year. Despite missing a couple of games and the state of the team's quarterback play, Nabers finished his rookie campaign as fantasy's WR7. With a league-high 10 games with double-digit targets and more targets than all receivers not named Ja'Marr Chase, Nabers never finished with fewer than four catches, seven targets or 41 yards in any game in 2024.

3.04 - De'Von Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins

Achane's year-over-year carries nearly doubled (103 to 203), but the yardage total increased by only 107 yards from 2023. The rushing efficiency dropped even more than most had expected (from his unsustainable rookie levels), but his receiving role was elite as he paced the position with 78 receptions for 592 yards and six touchdowns.

MORE: 2025 Miami Dolphins Fantasy Football Projections

4.09 - Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

While he would be a WR1 elsewhere, Higgins will continue to benefit from being the 1B to Ja'Marr Chase. While he has missed exactly five games in back-to-back seasons, Higgins finished second (behind Chase) among all wide receivers in fantasy points per game in 2024.

Tua Tagovailoa: Appearing in more than 13 games only once during his five NFL seasons, the obvious concern with Tagovailoa (in real life and fantasy) is his troubling history of concussions. Over the past three seasons, however, Tagovailoa has led the NFL in at least one different passing category — completion percentage (72.9%) in 2024, passing yards (4.624) in 2023, and TD% (6.3) and Y/A (8.9) in 2022. There's a chance he performs as a back-end QB1 if — a big if — his health cooperates, but his lack of rushing (75/193/0 since 2022) limits the upside even if he plays a full season. For example, the same year (2023) he played 17 games and led the NFL in passing yards, he finished as the QB9 in overall points (QB17 on a PPG basis).

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Non-PPR Mock (7th Pick)

Updated: Saturday, August 9, 2025

The best way to become good at something is to practice. So, what should you do if you want to draft a better fantasy football team?

Practice, of course!

Leading up to the start of the 2025 NFL season, we will use the fantasy football mock draft simulator to complete fantasy football mock drafts. Non-PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 7th Pick

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.07 - Derrick Henry, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Father Time may be undefeated, but Henry carried the ball 325 times for 1,921 yards, the second-best (by far) of his career, and a league-high 16 touchdowns in his age-30 season. In addition, he averaged a career-best 5.9 YPC — a half-yard more than his previous high. Yes, his receiving volume was (and will continue to be) low, but Lamar Jackson limits opposing defenses from being able to stack the box to slow him down. Repeating his 2024 numbers may be unlikely (although he has some extra motivation for 2,000 rushing yards).

2.06 - Jonathan Taylor, RB, Indianapolis Colts

Like with Henry, a concern with Taylor is the lack of receiving volume, especially with Anthony Richardson (or Daniel Jones) under center. Taylor, who missed Weeks 5-7, had only 12/59/1 receiving on 21 targets over the final 10 games of the season. But his rushing numbers over that span were elite — 231 carries for 1,082 yards, both of which were second to only Saquon Barkley, and seven touchdowns. One additional concern with Taylor is that he has missed at least three games in three consecutive seasons.

3.07 - Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

While he would be a WR1 elsewhere, Higgins will continue to benefit from being the 1B to Ja'Marr Chase. While he has missed exactly five games in back-to-back seasons, Higgins finished fourth (behind Chase, Justin Jefferson and Chris Godwin) among all wide receivers in fantasy points per game (non-PPR) in 2024.

4.06 - Davante Adams, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Adams, who was traded midseason from the Raiders to the Jets, still managed to extend his streak of 1,000-yard, eight-TD seasons to five. Even though he turns 33 on Christmas Eve and won't dominate targets the way he had at previous stops, he should have (or come close to having) another 1,000/8 season.

Drake Maye: Could Maye breakout in 2025? There are plenty of positive signs. The Patriots bolstered their pass protection and pass-catching weapons via free agency and the NFL draft including Stefon Diggs, LSU's Will Campbell (Round 1), Ohio State's TreVeyon Henderson (Round 2), and Washington State's Kyle Williams (Round 3). Considering his rushing ability, Maye's floor is high even if the Patriots adopt a run-heavy approach under Mike Vrabel, but the improvement in offensive firepower gives him more upside as a passer in year two.

Half-PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 12th Pick

1.12 - Derrick Henry, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Yes, his receiving volume was (and will continue to be) low, but Lamar Jackson limits opposing defenses from being able to stack the box to slow him down. 2.01 - Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans

Even though he turns 33 on Christmas Eve and won't dominate targets the way he had at previous stops, he should have (or come close to having) another 1,000/8 season. Adams is the WR13 in my rankings, and he has plenty of contingent upside if Puka Nacua were to miss any time.

4.01 - George Kittle, TE, San Francisco 49ers

Garrett Wilson is ranked higher than Kittle in my top 200 fantasy football cheat sheet, but this mock starts two receivers so I pivoted from what would have been my pick with a three-WR starting lineup. While he's not in the same tier as Brock Bowers and Trey McBride, Kittle is one of three elite tight ends that are heads and shoulders above the rest of the position. Kittle finished 2024 with 78 receptions for 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns, all of which rank either second or third in his career. Injuries to Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey led to greater consistency from Kittle — 40-plus receiving yards in 13 of 15 games played. (Only Bowers had more — 14 of 17 games.)

Dak Prescott: Prescott played only eight games in 2024 and has now missed five-plus games in three of the past five seasons. Prescott went from finishing as the QB3 in 2023 to the QB21 last season in fantasy points per game. It's clear that the trade for George Pickens will make a significant impact to the offense, and his skill set is an ideal complement opposite CeeDee Lamb. Describing himself as "a chill guy" who is "staying humble," Pickens is entering the final year of his rookie contract and should be motivated to show the best version of himself in 2025.

Geno Smith: It's obvious that Smith is an upgrade over the trio of Aidan O'Connell, Gardner Minshew and Desmond Ridder, all of whom made starts in 2024, and a more competent passing attack with benefit Brock Bowers, Jakobi Meyers, and the team's pass catchers. While Smith's best fantasy season (2022, QB5 — eighth on a PPG basis) was his first in Seattle with Pete Carroll, he's been a mid-tier QB2 (or worse) the past two seasons. Less useful in single-QB redraft formats, Smith has upside in two-QB or super flex and best ball formats.

Reuniting with Keenan Allen, who is back on a one-year deal, should help Herbert's efficiency, but the loss of left tackle Rashawn Slater, who tore his patellar tendon and will miss the 2025 season is a devastating blow to the offense.

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Half-PPR Mock (3rd Pick)

Updated: Tuesday, August 5, 2025

Half-PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 3rd Pick

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.03 - Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Detroit Lions

Perhaps a surprise by many to not take Saquon Barkley here, but I have Bijan Robinson and Gibbs ranked as the RB1/RB2, respectively, in my 2025 fantasy football RB rankings. Gibbs set or tied career highs across the board in rushing (250/1,412/16, 5.6 YPC) and receiving (52/517/4, 9.9 Y/R) in his second season. Gibbs was also top five among running backs with a minimum of 17 targets in yards per route run (1.67) and YAC per reception (11.5), per PFF. Gibbs was especially good when David Montgomery missed the final three regular-season games (RB1 overall), but he was also the RB3 (RB4 on a PPG basis) from Weeks 1 to 15 when Montgomery was also active.

2.10 - A.J. Brown, WR, Philadelphia Eagles

Leading the league in books read on the sideline during games, Brown missed four games in 2024 but channeled his inner excellence to finish with 67 receptions for 1,079 yards and seven touchdowns. While there were some quiet games, Brown's 2024 per-game averages of receptions (5.2) and yards (83.0) weren't that much lower than his career averages (5.7/86.8). The only real concern with Brown from a weekly fantasy production standpoint is the potential for a big day from Saquon Barkley and the game script leading to low passing volume overall.

3.03 - Trey McBride, TE, Arizona Cardinals

The good news is that McBride smashed previous career highs in targets (147), receptions (111) and receiving yards (1,146). Among all players (wide receivers included), he finished eighth, fourth, and 11th, respectively, in those categories. The bad news is that he had only two touchdowns and has a total of six through three NFL seasons. If there's a glimmer of hope, McBride finished top three in TE targets from inside the 20 (21, T-2nd), 15 (16, T-2nd), 10 (12, 1st) and 5 (seven, T-1st).

Yes, Brock Bowers deserves to be TE1 in fantasy drafts, but it's a 1A/1B (or 1A/1A) situation with Bowers and McBride. Even though I have Bowers ranked ahead of McBride, the former Colorado State tight end may offer a little more value nearly a round later.

4.10 - DJ Moore, WR, Chicago Bears

Moore posted a career high in receptions (98) in 2024 while posting career lows in yards per reception (9.9), yards per target (6.9) and ADOT (7.5). In fact, those numbers are much lower than his non-2024 career averages — 14.3 Y/R, 8.7 Y/TGT and 11.4 ADOT. With second-year improvements from Caleb Williams as well as improved coaching and play calling, we should see better overall numbers from Moore in 2025.

2025 Fantasy Football Rankings

2025 Fantasy Football QB Rankings

1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

Putting aside the debate over who should have won the NFL MVP award last season, it's clear that both Allen and Lamar Jackson had MVP-caliber seasons, especially as voters split their votes for MVP and the 2024 AP NFL All-Pro first team. Going into fantasy drafts this summer, Allen vs. Jackson will be the difficult (or easy) choice facing fantasy managers — and to be clear, the "easy" part is that you can't go wrong with either.

Allen posted five-year lows in several passing categories — attempts (483), yards (3,731) and touchdowns (28) — but his dual-threat skill set is what makes him so dangerous. Allen now has (at least) 12 rushing touchdowns in back-to-back seasons and 500-plus rushing yards in four consecutive seasons. He has finished as a top-two fantasy quarterback for five consecutive seasons.

2. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

What a year it was Jackson, who posted career highs in passing yards (4,172) and touchdowns (41) while leading the NFL in TD% (8.6%), yards per attempt (8.8) and passer rating (119.6)! It was the second time in his career that he has finished as fantasy's QB1. He posted a 9% TD% in his other overall QB1 season (2019), and then followed that up with a 6.9% rate in 2020. His career average is 6.4%. Long story short, he was absolutely phenomenal in 2024, but last year's ratios would be unsustainable for any quarterback including Jackson (even though he could repeat as fantasy's QB1). Although he has a max of five rushing touchdowns over the past four seasons, Jackson is the NFL's all-time leader in quarterback rushing yards, averaging a whopping 1,019 yards per 17 games over his career.

2025 Fantasy Football RB Rankings

1. Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons

You could argue that Robinson (not Saquon Barkley) should be the RB1 in 2025 fantasy football drafts, especially considering Barkley's historic 2024 volume (most combined regular-season and playoff touches in a decade). The 23-year-old running back racked up 1,887 scrimmage yards and scored 15 total touchdowns on 365 touches including 61 receptions. From Week 6 on, Robinson averaged more fantasy points per game (21.1) than all other running backs. During that 12-game span, he averaged 19.8/97.6 rushing, 3.6/23.3 receiving and scored 14 total touchdowns.

2. Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions

2025 Fantasy Football WR Rankings

1. Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals

Posting career highs in his age-24 season, Chase led the NFL in receptions (127), yards (1,708) and touchdowns (17) in 2024 to become the fifth triple crown winner since the league merger. Chase had at least five catches and/or 50 yards in all but one game in 2024, but he also had several monster games. There were nine 35-point wide receiver performances league-wide in 2024, and Chase had three (one-third) of them. From Week 5 on, Chase had a 31.46% target share with a weekly minimum of 24.32%. He's the easy choice to select first overall in fantasy drafts this summer.

2. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

Lamb played several weeks dealing with a shoulder injury before shutting it down with a couple of games to go. While his (and Dak Prescott's) injuries factor in, his numbers were down considerably from 2023. Lamb set career lows in yards per reception (11.8) and target (7.9) and his per game averages dropped from 7.9/102.9/0.7 (2023) to 6.7/79.6/0.4 (2024). When everything's clicking, however, Lamb is as productive as any receiver in the league.

2025 Fantasy Football TE Rankings

1. Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders

Bowers led all tight ends in receptions (112), targets (153) and receiving yards (1,194) despite being a rookie with sub-par quarterback play. Only George Kittle scored more fantasy points on a per-game basis, and Bowers led the position in overall points. While it may be difficult to outproduce his rookie numbers, few, if any, tight ends are the focal point of their passing offense the way Bowers is. Even though the Raiders will run the ball more often in 2025, Ashton Jeanty's presence will benefit the pass catchers indirectly by helping to sustain longer drives and Geno Smith will make the passing attack more efficient.

2. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals

Caleb Williams: Poised for a breakout season, Williams benefits from the trifecta of improvements in offensive coaching, protection and weapons. After completely revamping their interior offensive line in free agency, the Bears also used their first three draft picks on the offense — tight end Colston Loveland, wide receiver Luther Burden III, and offensive tackle Ozzy Trapilo. Williams (along with Justin Fields) is one of my favorite targets later when I don't draft a top-four option.

Kyler Murray: While fantasy managers were hoping for more from Murray in 2024, his final numbers were still solid albeit not spectacular. Murray threw multiple touchdowns in only four games, but he had another four multi-score games when including rushing touchdowns. Even with more weekly inconsistency than you may like, Murray has upside as a back-end QB1, especially if Marvin Harrison Jr. and their connection take a big step forward in year two, as many expect.

Justin Fields: The same year (2022) that Fields threw for 2,242 yards, 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, he finished as fantasy's QB6 in points per game and overall. Of course, it was the elite rushing production (160/1143/8) that outweighed his anemic passing stats that year. Even before the Steelers benched him in favor of Russell Wilson in 2024, Fields was the QB6 in fantasy points per game through his six starts. I expect to be overweight Fields in 2025, especially in best ball formats.

Jayden Daniels: For good reason, Daniels was a favorite of many as a late-round target in fantasy drafts, and the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year delivered for those who rostered him in 2024. Daniels' ADP was QB12 (or a little later, depending on the site), and the dual-threat quarterback finished his rookie season as a top-five fantasy quarterback. Along with Lamar Jackson (2023 and 2024) and Kyler Murray (2020), Daniels became only the third quarterback in NFL history to throw and run for at least 3,500 and 800 yards, respectively, in the same season. The front office's offseason moves support his continued development as he enters year two aside from the franchise's contract standoff with Terry McLaurin.

C.J. Stroud: What a difference a year made, as Stroud finished his 2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year campaign as fantasy's QB8 in points per game and as the QB26 in 2024. The coaching staff did him no favors and Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell ended the year on IR with Nico Collins also missing five games in 2024. With the additions of Christian Kirk in free agency and Iowa State rookies Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel in the draft and a new offensive coaching staff in place, there is some optimism for Stroud to rebound in 2025 although the offensive line remains an issue.

QB Totals591.9371.94050.121.6614.3576.4264.52.83263.38

Joe Flacco: Yes, I'm hedging my bets by projecting starts for four different quarterbacks. Outside of 2-QB leagues, however, all of them are far off the fantasy radar so there's no real need to try to make a premature call one way or the other. Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal recently wrote: "This is Flacco's job to lose. Period." In his first stint with the Browns (2023), Flacco won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award. In five starts (four wins), Flacco threw for 1,616 yards (323.2 per game), 13 touchdowns (6.4%) and eight interceptions (3.9%). The more games Flacco starts, the more ideal it will be for the team's top pass catchers as well.

Shedeur Sanders: Even those who projected a slide for Sanders couldn't have expected that he would have slipped to the fifth round (144th overall). If you told someone before the draft that he would be the second quarterback selected by his new team (especially with the first being a third-rounder), most would have thought you were crazy. Despite the less-than-ideal (numerical) draft slot, I wouldn't rule out Sanders (and Gabriel) making starts this season. With two first-round picks (and low expectations for 2025), Cleveland will likely be in prime position to draft one near the top of the 2026 NFL Draft and it would make sense for them to get as many evaluation data points for Sanders/Gabriel as possible before then.

Kenny Pickett: Beat writer Mary Kay Cabot wrote earlier this offseason that Pickett was viewed "as the frontrunner to win the starting job at the outset." That said, he's battled a hamstring injury recently and he's not a lock to make the 53-man roster. In the two seasons where he was the primary starter for the Steelers (2022-2023), Pickett threw 13 touchdowns (1.8%) in 24 starts and averaged 179 passing yards per game with 6.3 per attempt.

Joe Burrow: Burrow, now a two-time NFL Comeback Player of the Year, had an MVP-caliber season in 2024. (Of course, so did Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.) In any event, Burrow led the NFL in both passing yards (4,918) and touchdowns (43). With Cincinnati doling out massive contracts to both Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins this offseason, it's all systems go for Burrow and the Bengals offense, who will often find themselves needing to keep up with their leaky defense.

Sam Darnold: How close will the 2025 version of Darnold be to his breakout season last year? That's the obvious question, especially considering last year's environment (coaching and supporting cast) was about as ideal for a quarterback as possible. On a positive note, the former top-three pick is still only 28 years old despite entering his eighth NFL season. Darnold threw for 4,319 passing yards, 35 touchdowns and 12 interceptions last season and finished as fantasy's QB9. It's definitely possible that the fantasy community (myself included) is discounting him too much in 2025.

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Half-PPR Mock (6th Pick)

Updated: Friday, August 1, 2025

The best way to become good at something is to practice. So, what should you do if you want to draft a better fantasy football team?

Practice, of course!

Leading up to the start of the 2025 NFL season, we will use the fantasy football mock draft simulator to complete fantasy football mock drafts. And we will do so using a variety of scoring formats — point per reception (PPR), half-PPR, standard scoring and even 2-QB leagues — and league sizes. The goal is to provide you with a good representation of the team that you may be able to draft given your league settings while also providing the rationale of why we made the picks we did.

In this mock, Bijan Robinson and Saquaon Barkley went 1.02 and 1.03, respectively, but a case could be made for Gibbs to be the RB1. Especially with Ja'Marr Chase (1.01), Justin Jefferson (1.04) and CeeDee Lamb (1.05) all off the board as well, this was an easy choice.

2.07 - A.J. Brown, WR, Philadelphia Eagles

Brown missed four games in 2024 and the Eagles averaged a league-worst 26.35 pass attempts per game (down from 33.12/G in 2023, 21st). Despite that, he still finished with 67 receptions for 1,079 yards and seven touchdowns. While there were some quiet games, Brown's 2024 per-game averages of receptions (5.2) and yards (83.0) weren't that much lower than his career averages (5.7/86.8). Even with their potent rushing attack, it's possible that they throw more often than 26 times per game in 2025, which would make Brown a bargain here as the 10th receiver off the board.

3.06 - Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

Higgins will continue to benefit from playing as the 1B to Ja'Marr Chase, with elite quarterback (Joe Burrow) and for an offense that should need to keep up with its leaky defense. While he has missed exactly five games in back-to-back seasons, Higgins finished second (behind only Chase) among all wide receivers in fantasy points per game in 2024.

4.07 - Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

In the same year that Saquon Barkley rushed for over 2,000 yards, Hurts set a career low as a full-time starter in pass attempts per game (24.1). In fact, that was a drop of 7.5 per game from his 2023 average (31.6). He finished 2024 throwing for only 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Even with Barkley's rushing greatness last season, Hurts extended streaks of 150-plus carries (three seasons), 600-plus rushing yards (four) and double-digit rushing scores (four).

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team PPR Mock (1st Pick)

Updated: Wednesday, July 30, 2025

PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 10th Pick

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.01 - Ja'Marr Chase, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

Especially with full PPR scoring that starts three wide receivers plus a flex, Chase is the easy choice at 1.01. Posting career highs in his age-24 season, Chase led the NFL in receptions (127), yards (1,708) and touchdowns (17) in 2024 to become the fifth triple crown winner since the league merger. He was both remarkably consistent — 16 games with at least five catches and/or 50 yards — and dominant — one third (three of nine) of all 40-point PPR outings for wide receivers.

2.12 - Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

While he would be a WR1 elsewhere, Higgins will continue to benefit from being the 1B to Ja'Marr Chase. While he has missed exactly five games in back-to-back seasons, Higgins finished second (behind Chase) among all wide receivers in fantasy points per game in 2024.

MORE: 2025 Cincinnati Bengals Fantasy Football Projections

3.01 - Bucky Irving, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

If you rostered Irving in 2024, you realize how good he was, especially over the second half of the season. Irving was the RB7 from Week 10 on when he averaged 15.5/87.9 rushing, 3/27.3 receiving and scored five total touchdowns.

4.12 - DK Metcalf, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

Metcalf started 2024 with a bang — three 100-yard games in the first four weeks with a total of 24/366/2 receiving during that stretch (as fantasy's WR7 through Week 4). While he missed a couple of weeks in the middle of the season, he only reached 60 receiving yards in three of his other 11 games and was outside the top 40 wide receivers in fantasy points per game from Weeks 5-18. While both Jonnu Smith and Pat Freiermuth could be the second- and third-most productive pass catcher on the team in 2025, Metcalf is the clear WR1 (and top pass catcher) in the offense and a rebound from last year's non-rookie low of 7.2 targets per game should occur.

Fantasy Football: Week 1 NFL Implied Totals

Updated: Wednesday, July 30 at 7:55 PM ET.

While nobody is right 100% of the time, the Vegas sportsbooks are right more often than they are wrong.

A helpful tool to determine which players to roster or start (or at least to break a tie), especially in daily fantasy football leagues, is NFL implied totals (projected point totals for each team based on NFL odds).

Looking at the over-under alone is not enough. Although it's an obvious statement, the more points a team scores (or is expected to score), the more likely that fantasy points will follow.

NFL implied totals listed in the table below are calculated using NFL odds from FanDuel Sportsbook for Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season and sorted from most to least projected points.

Anthony Richardson: Both Richardson and Daniel Jones will likely make starts in 2025. While he's been terrible as a passer — 50.6% completion rate through 15 starts with more interceptions (13) thrown than touchdowns (11), Richardson will have enormous rushing upside when he starts. In fact, he has scored nearly as many rushing touchdowns (10) as he's thrown.

Daniel Jones: Jones is an underrated rusher, although he doesn't have the upside that Richardson has. On the other hand, he's a better passer (in other words, he's mediocre) who won't tank the passing attack the way Richardson may.

Love is a mid-tier QB2 in my 2025 fantasy rankings.

Jared Goff: The main concern with Goff is losing offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, but new offensive coordinator John Morton was a senior offensive assistant when Johnson became OC in 2022. Another concern is the loss of center Frank Ragnow (retirement) and Kevin Zeitler (free agency), but the Lions have a very talented group of pass catchers — Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta, Jahmyr Gibbs, etc.. Goff has finished as fantasy's QB10, QB7, and QB6, respectively, over the past three seasons.

That said, Stafford has averaged only 12.9, 16.9, and 13.9 fantasy points per game over the past three seasons, respectively. Baker Mayfield: Mayfield set career highs in passing yards (4,500) and touchdowns (41), although he also led the NFL in interceptions (16). That said, he finished as fantasy's QB4 in 2024 after finishing as the QB10 in his first season with the Bucs. Only Lamar Jackson (16) had more QB1 finishes last season than Mayfield (13). While he'll have his third offensive coordinator in as many seasons, new OC Josh Grizzard was the passing game coordinator for Liam Coen, who's now Jacksonville's head coach. So, in other words, Mayfield should continue to thrive, especially as Chris Godwin returns on a team-friendly contract, and the team used its first-round pick on Ohio State's Emeka Egbuka.

Michael Penix Jr.: Drafting Penix eighth overall only a month after signing Kirk Cousins to a massive 2024 free-agent deal was a head-scratcher (because of the investment already made in Cousins, of course). But Penix showed promise in his brief stint as a starter over the final three weeks including a three-TD performance in the finale, and a full offseason with a singular focus on getting ready as the starter could boost his chances for a 2025 breakout.

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Half-PPR Mock (8th Pick)

Updated: Friday, July 25, 2025

Half-PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 10th Pick

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.08 - Malik Nabers, WR, New York Giants

Perhaps Jaxson Dart will provide a real long-term upgrade, but New York's 2025 quarterback situation is both below average and yet also an upgrade over what they had last year. Despite missing a couple of games and the state of the team's quarterback play, Nabers finished his rookie campaign as fantasy's WR7. With a league-high 10 games with double-digit targets and more targets than all receivers not named Ja'Marr Chase, Nabers never finished with fewer than four catches, seven targets or 41 yards in any game in 2024.

MORE: Which teams have the easiest or hardest NFL Strength of Schedule in 2025?

2.05 - Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans

Collins has missed seven games over the past two seasons, but the now 26-year-old receiver has averaged 85.3 YPG (fifth best), 15.6 Y/R (eighth) and scored a total of 15 touchdowns (tied, 10th) over that span (among wide receivers with at least 100 targets). He has finished among the top three wide receivers in PFF's Y/RR metric in each of the past two seasons — 3.11 (second) in 2023 and 2.87 (third) in 2024, respectively. If Collins can stay healthy for a full season, the emerging superstar could make a jump into the top tier of fantasy receivers in 2025.

3.08 - Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

While he would be a WR1 elsewhere, Higgins will continue to benefit from being the 1B to Ja'Marr Chase. While he has missed exactly five games in back-to-back seasons, Higgins finished second (behind Chase) among all wide receivers in fantasy points per game in 2024.

MORE: 2025 Cincinnati Bengals Fantasy Football Projections

4.05 - Kenneth Walker III, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Walker has missed multiple games in each of his three NFL seasons including six missed games last year. While he averaged only 3.7 yards per carry and 4.4 yards per touch, both career lows, his PFF elusive rating (113.5) was a career high and the third most among all running backs with at least 100 carries in 2024. Walker should benefit from the new coaching staff's heavy use of outside zone and there is plenty of upside if his health cooperates.

Brock Purdy: Purdy had a down year in 2024 but still finished as the QB10 on a points-per-game basis (18.6). Compared to career rates (in parenthesis), Purdy's 65.9% completion rate (67.5%), 4.4 TD% (6.0%), and 8.5 Y/A (8.9) were all lower in 2024. Yes, Deebo Samuel now plays for the Washington Commanders and Brandon Aiyuk is recovering from a torn ACL, but Purdy is currently the QB7 based on my projections vs. an ADP of QB12, on average.

Despite Shane Waldron's role as passing game coordinator, I trust Liam Coen to get the most of Lawrence. Brian Thomas Jr. is one of the league's best young receivers and Travis Hunter is a significant upgrade opposite him.

J.J. McCarthy: With one of the league's best offensive instructures in place, McCarthy should hit the ground running (maybe literally, too) in his debut season after missing 2024 with a torn meniscus. Kevin O'Connell had Sam Darnold playing at an MVP-caliber level, and the team has a good offensive line with a talented group of weapons (Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, etc.). Given his plus athleticism and environment, there is plenty of upside for a season similar to Bo Nix's rookie campaign (ADP of QB20+ with a top-10 finish).

Patrick Mahomes: Outside of his one-game rookie season, Mahomes set or tied career lows in passing yards (3,928) and touchdowns (26). Like Joe Burrow, Mahomes has enough mobility to make and extend plays, but he doesn't use it to rack up significant rushing production (307-389 rushing yards in five consecutive seasons). After finishing as a top-four fantasy quarterback in four of his first five seasons as a starter, Mahomes has finished as the QB8 and QB12, respectively, over the past two seasons. Optimistic heading into 2025, Mahomes is hoping or expecting "to get back to some of the explosive passing plays that we've done in years past."

Russell Wilson: Playing for his fourth team in five seasons, Wilson is the favorite to enter the season as the starter but unlikely to maintain that role all year. Wilson took over for Justin Fields as Pittsburgh's starter in Week 7, and he performed as fantasy's QB18 on a per-game basis among QBs with at least six appearances during that stretch. Given the Giants used a first-round pick on Dart and the team's low expectations, it would make sense to give Dart an opportunity to gain valuable game experience sooner than later.

Jaxson Dart: Even if Wilson starts more games than Dart, it's likely that the first-rounder gets some starts, especially during the most crucial time of the fantasy season. Both Wilson and Dart are off the fantasy radar in standard single-QB leagues, but the rookie has the ability to make plays with his legs and provide some fantasy upside once he gets his shot.

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.10 - Malik Nabers, WR, New York Giants

As mediocre as New York's quarterback situation will be in 2025, it's an upgrade over what they had last year. Despite missing a couple of games and the state of the team's quarterback play, Nabers finished his rookie season as fantasy's WR7 and only Ja'Marr Chase was targeted more often in 2024. Consistently peppered with targets including a league-high 10 games with double-digit targets, Nabers never finished with fewer than four catches, seven targets or 41 yards in any game in 2024. For the most part, the pass catchers are identical to what they had in 2024.

2.03 - Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans

Should I have selected Derrick Henry instead of Collins at 2.03? In hindsight, I think I would have liked the overall composition of my team better even if I prefer Collins over Henry in isolation. In other words, my wide receiver depth is so deep in a format that starts only two receivers (and a flex) that I'll keep Zay Flowers on the bench every week. Durability has been a challenge for Collins, but the now 26-year-old receiver has averaged 85.3 YPG (fifth best), 15.6 Y/R (eighth) and scored a total of 15 touchdowns (tied, 10th) over the past two seasons (among wide receivers with at least 100 targets).

Projected starters (and their projected ranks) compared to other teams:

Mock Draft Starter Ranks

3.10 - Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets

Another year removed from his 2022 torn ACL, fantasy managers expected bigger and better things from Hall last year. In fact, he had a top-four ADP in 2024. Unfortunately, his production actually declined year over year as he finished the year as a mid-tier RB2 overall and on a per-game basis. Had I selected Henry in Round 2 (as noted above), I'd feel great about Hall as my RB2. I feel less great about him (and this team's overall state of the running back position) as my RB1.

4.03 - Davante Adams, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Adams, who was traded midseason from the Raiders to the Jets, still managed to extend his streak of 1,000-yard, eight-TD seasons to five. Even though he turns 33 on Christmas Eve and won't dominate targets like he had at previous stops, he should have (or come close to having) another 1,000/8 season.

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Super Flex PPR Mock (5th Pick)

Updated: Monday, June 30, 2025

Super Flex PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 5th Pick

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Super Flex (QB/RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

1.05 - Ja'Marr Chase, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

The top-four quarterbacks — Josh Allen (1.01), Lamar Jackson (1.02), Jalen Hurts (1.03), and Jayden Daniels (1.04) — were all selected before I was on the clock. Had one of those four slipped to 1.05, that would have been the pick. Instead, I pivoted to my top-ranked non-QB instead of his quarterback (Joe Burrow), who went 1.06. Chase led the NFL in receptions (127), yards (1,708) and touchdowns (17) in his age-24 season and became the fifth triple crown winner since the league merger. His floor and ceiling are as high as any receiver with a minimum of five-plus catches and/or 50-plus yards in all but one 2024 game while accounting for one-third of the 40-point WR PPR performances last season.

MORE: 2025 Cincinnati Bengals Fantasy Football Projections

2.08 - Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions

After pivoting with Ja'Marr Chase at 1.05, my plan at that point was to target a QB here (especially Justin Fields), but Fields was off the board at 2.05.

3.05 - Caleb Williams, QB, Chicago Bears

Finally, a QB! If this were a 2-QB mock instead of a Super Flex, there's a good chance that Williams wouldn't be available at 3.05, but I'll take it. Also, I would have been more likely to force one with my second pick. That said, Williams is poised for a breakout season as he benefits from the trifecta of improvements in offensive coaching, protection and weapons.

MORE: Way-too-early 2027 NFL Mock Draft

4.08 - Trey McBride, TE, Arizona Cardinals

McBride smashed previous career highs in targets (147), receptions (111) and receiving yards (1,146). Among all players (wide receivers included), he finished eighth, fourth, and 11th, respectively, in those categories. The bad news is that he had only two touchdowns and has a total of six through three NFL seasons, but he still finished second at the position in PPR points per game (15.6) just behind George Kittle (15.8) and ahead of Brock Bowers (15.5).

2025 Fantasy Football Profiles

Between now and the start of the 2025 NFL season, we will post fantasy football profiles and outlooks for all fantasy-relevant players.

Fantasy Football Profile: Bryce Young 2025 Outlook

Updated: Monday, June 30, 2025

Embed from Getty Images

The vibes for Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young are drastically different heading into 2025 than they were after the first two weeks of the 2024 NFL season.

Could Young have played any worse than he did in the first two games last season? The 2023 No. 1 overall pick threw for (a total of) 225 yards and averaged 4.01 Y/A with zero touchdowns and three interceptions in those two games. Then he was benched for Andy Dalton, and his future in Carolina was extremely uncertain.

MORE: 2026 Carolina Panthers Mock Draft Roundup

Act II was much better than Act I

Young got a second lease on life after being reinserted as the starter in Week 8. Per PFF, only Joe Burrow (27) had more big time throws (BTT) than Young (26) from Weeks 8-18 and only Michael Penix Jr. had a higher BTT% than Young.

Carolina had their bye in Week 11, and Young was fantasy's QB8 on a points-per-game basis (21.2) after the bye (Weeks 12-18).

Fantasy Football Profile: Saquon Barkley 2025 Outlook

Updated: Saturday, June 28, 2025

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley made history in 2024 — both in terms of production and workload.

Barkley became only the ninth running back in league history to eclipse the 2,000-yard rushing milestone. While Barkley sat out Week 18 instead of chasing Eric Dickerson's single-season record set in 1984, he was only 100 yards shy of tying the record (2,105).

The Eagles rested many of their starters including Barkley in Week 18, but he led the NFL in rushing yards (2,005) and yards from scrimmage (2,283) last season. He also tied a previous career high (set in his rookie campaign) of 15 combined touchdowns.

Detroit's Jahmyr Gibbs had a monster Week 18 performance (43.5 fantasy points), but no running back scored more fantasy points in 2024 than Barkley, who averaged more fantasy points per game (21.2) than in any of his previous seasons except for his rookie campaign (21.3).

Barkley played only two games in 2020, but he averaged anywhere in between 9.2 (2021) and 16.8 (2019) fantasy points per game in his non-rookie seasons with the New York Giants.

Fantasy Football Profile: Jalen Hurts 2025 Outlook

Updated: Saturday, June 28, 2025

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been a high-end fantasy performer since becoming a full-time starter in 2021.

Despite missing exactly two games in three of the past four years, Hurts has yet to finish any lower than fantasy's QB6 on a points-per-game basis. In addition, he has a pair of top-two fantasy performances — QB2 in 2023 and QB1 in 2022, respectively.

Career low in pass attempts in 2024

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Hurts threw a career-low 361 pass attempts as Philadelphia's starting quarterback in the same season that Saquon Barkley joined the 2,000-yard rushing club. On a per-game basis, Hurts threw 7.5 fewer pass attempts in 2024 (24.1) than 2023 (31.6). Moreover, that's nearly five attempts fewer than his previous low set in 2021 (28.8).

Yes, his overall counting numbers (2,903 passing yards and 18 touchdowns) were down, but the ratios were up. Hurts set or tied career highs in completion percentage (68.7%), TD% (5.0) and yards per pass attempt (8.0), and his 1.4 INT% was only a tad off his career best 1.3% mark.

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team PPR Mock (5th Pick)

Updated: Thursday, June 19, 2025

The best way to become good at something is to practice. So, what should you do if you want to draft a better fantasy football team?

Practice, of course!

Leading up to the start of the 2025 NFL season, we will use the fantasy football mock draft simulator to complete fantasy football mock drafts. And we will do so using a variety of scoring formats — point per reception (PPR), half-PPR, standard scoring and even 2-QB leagues — and league sizes. The goal is to provide you with a good representation of the team that you may be able to draft given your league settings while also providing the rationale of why we made the picks we did.

PPR Mock Draft: 12 Teams, 5th Pick

Starting positions: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 K, 1 DST; Bench spots: 6

Embed from Getty Images

1.05 - CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Lamb played several weeks dealing with a shoulder injury before shutting it down with a couple of games to go. While his (and Dak Prescott's) injuries factor in, his numbers were down considerably from 2023. Lamb set career lows in yards per reception (11.8) and target (7.9) and his per game averages dropped from 7.9/102.9/0.7 (2023) to 6.7/79.6/0.4 (2024). When everything's clicking, however, Lamb is as productive as any receiver in the league.

2.08 - Derrick Henry, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Father Time may be undefeated, but Henry carried the ball 325 times for 1,921 yards, the second-best (by far) of his career, and a league-high 16 touchdowns in his age-30 season. In addition, he averaged a career-best 5.9 YPC — a half-yard more than his previous high. Yes, his receiving volume was (and will continue to be) low, but Lamar Jackson limits opposing defenses from being able to stack the box to slow him down. Henry was top four across all scoring formats (including full PPR). Repeating his 2024 numbers may be unlikely (although he has some extra motivation for 2,000 rushing yards), but it's possible that concerns about his age and a lack of work as a receiver could once again lead to a draft-day discount.

3.05 - Davante Adams, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Adams, who was traded midseason from the Raiders to the Jets, still managed to extend his streak of 1,000-yard, eight-TD seasons to five. Even though he turns 33 on Christmas Eve and won't dominate targets like he had at previous stops, he should have (or come close to having) another 1,000/8 season.

4.08 - Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

In the same year that Saquon Barkley rushed for over 2,000 yards, Hurts set a career low as a full-time starter in pass attempts per game (24.1). In fact, that was a drop of 7.5 per game from his 2023 average (31.6). He finished 2024 throwing for only 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Even with Barkley's rushing greatness last season, Hurts extended streaks of 150-plus carries (three seasons), 600-plus rushing yards (four) and double-digit rushing scores (four).

2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team Non-PPR Mock (2nd Pick)

Updated: Monday, June 16, 2025

Practice, of course!

Leading up to the start of the 2025 NFL season, we will use the fantasy football mock draft simulator to complete fantasy football mock drafts. And we will do so using a variety of scoring formats — point per reception (PPR), half-PPR, standard scoring and even 2-QB leagues — and league sizes.

1.02 - Ja'Marr Chase, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

Saquon Barkley went first overall (and running backs will have more value in non-PPR formats like this), but I'd take Chase first overall regardless of the scoring format so I was thrilled to get him at 1.02.

2.11 - Brock Bowers, TE, Las Vegas Raiders

Bowers led all tight ends in receptions (112), targets (153) and receiving yards (1,194) despite being a rookie with sub-par quarterback play. Only George Kittle scored more fantasy points on a per-game basis, and Bowers led the position in overall points. While it may be difficult to outproduce his rookie numbers, few, if any, tight ends are the focal point of their passing offense the way Bowers is. Even though the Raiders will run the ball more often in 2025, Ashton Jeanty's presence should benefit the pass catchers indirectly by helping to sustain longer drives and Geno Smith will make the passing attack more efficient.

3.02 - Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

While he would be a WR1 elsewhere, Higgins will continue to benefit from being the 1B to Chase. While he has missed exactly five games in back-to-back seasons, Higgins finished fourth (behind Chase, Justin Jefferson and Chris Godwin) among all wide receivers in fantasy points per game (non-PPR scoring) in 2024.

4.11 - James Conner, RB, Arizona Cardinals

Conner turned 30 in May and is entering his ninth NFL season. While he played 16 games last year, he has exceeded 13 games only three times in his career. That said, he's been highly productive in his four seasons in Arizona. During that four-year span, he has finished no worse than RB14 on a points-per-game basis and only three running backs have scored more touchdowns — Derrick Henry (53), Joe Mixon (49) and Austin Ekeler (48) — than Conner (44).

2025 NFL Strength of Schedule

Updated: May 14, 2025

While we have known since January all of the opponents each NFL team will face, we now know which weeks each team will play of all their games now that the 2025 NFL schedule is out. (The exact date and times for some games in Weeks 17 and 18 are still to be determined.)

Which team has the most difficult 2025 NFL schedule? Or the easiest NFL schedule?

Using each NFL team's 2025 opponents, our NFL strength of schedule (SOS) tallies the win-loss records of each team's opponents and then uses that cumulative win-loss record to rank the difficulty or ease of each team's schedule.

Based on 2024 records, no team has a more challenging schedule than the Giants. Their opponents have collectively won 57.4% of their games in 2024. Meanwhile, San Francisco's opponents have won a combined 41.5% of their 2024 games, which gives them the easiest schedule on paper.

Fantasy Football QB Strength of Schedule

A fantasy football strength of schedule (SOS) helps fantasy managers determine which teams and players have favorable (or unfavorable) schedules for the 2025 NFL season.

Based on each team's opponents for the 2025 NFL season, we have tallied the average fantasy points allowed by each of those opponents to the position.

With the release of the full 2025 NFL schedule, these rankings exclude Week 18 matchups.

While strength of schedule should never be the sole factor in determining who to draft/add, it could help potentially break a tie between two players that you may otherwise view as comparable.

2026 NFL Mock Draft Roundups (By NFL Franchise)

Leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft, we will round up NFL mock drafts by franchise for a more convenient way to view who's being mocked to a franchise.

Arizona Cardinals 2026 NFL Mock Draft Roundup 1.0

Throughout the year and leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft, we will update our Arizona Cardinals Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Arizona Cardinals from several prominent sites and draft analysts.

The following are picks from recent NFL mock drafts for the Arizona Cardinals:

EDSFootball - Kevin Hanson

15. Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

More was expected from Marvin Harrison Jr., but he had a solid (albeit unspectacular) rookie campaign. And it's reasonable to expect a big step forward in his second season. That said, the Cardinals could use an upgrade opposite MHJ and add one from right in their backyard. The Colorado transfer had a breakout season for the Sun Devils last season (75/1,101/10) and was at his best at the end of the season — 125-plus yards in each of his final three games played.

CBS Sports - Josh Edwards

15. LT Overton, EDGE, Alabama

Overton has prototypical size for an NFL pass rusher and the athleticism is there as well. He was trending toward being a part of the 2025 draft, but opted to return to Tuscaloosa. Overton should have even more opportunities this coming season with Que Robinson, Jihaad Campbell and others moving on since the season ended.

ESPN - Jordan Reid

15. Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE, Penn State

I actually had Dennis-Sutton in this exercise a year ago, but he decided to return for his senior season instead of entering the 2025 draft. The Cardinals have boosted their defensive front this offseason, and Dennis-Sutton would be a continuation of that. He flashed in 2024, with 15 tackles for loss (13th among FBS defensive linemen) and 8.5 sacks. Dennis-Sutton will look to build on a dynamite College Football Playoff semifinal performance against Notre Dame (six tackles, two sacks, a pick-six and a forced fumble).

Throughout the year and leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft, we will update our NFL mock draft roundup for many of the top prospects.

Cade Klubnik 2026 NFL Mock Draft Roundup

Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Cade Klubnik has appeared:

EDSFootball - Kevin Hanson

No. 8 overall — Indianapolis Colts

Both Braden Smith and Bernhard Raimann are currently scheduled to be unrestricted free agents in 2026 as well, so offensive tackle is a possibility here. But if the Colts are picking top eight, across-the-board changes could be coming for the Colts including quarterback. What a difference a year made for Klubnik, who took a major step forward in his second season as a starter as he threw for 3,639 yards, 36 touchdowns and six interceptions while rushing for 463 yards and seven scores.

(Programming alert: Klubnik (Clemson) and Nussmeier (LSU) will meet in Week 1 of the college football season on August 30th.)

ESPN - Jordan Reid

No. 1 overall — Cleveland Browns (projected trade with TEN)

The Browns drafted two quarterbacks last week: Dillon Gabriel in Round 3 and Shedeur Sanders in Round 5. But Cleveland didn't address the position with any of its four picks in the top 70, and it might take a bigger swing next April. Klubnik made huge strides in his second season as a starter, finishing 2024 with 3,639 passing yards, 36 touchdown passes and only 6 interceptions. He could be the long-term answer.

Klubnik maintains a strong platform while going through his reads and is consistent no matter the defensive structure. He also has the mobility to escape pressure, but he has B-level arm strength, so it will be important for him to show that he can throw into tight windows this season. His game reminds me a lot of Bo Nix.

2026 NFL Mock Draft: Arch Manning stays in school, 4 QBs still go top 8

Updated: Thursday, May 8, 2025

The 2025 NFL Draft is barely behind us, but it's never too early to look ahead to next year's draft. (Or the year after that?)

The prospect you'll likely see most often atop mock draftsTexas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning — won't appear in this one. It's an intentional omission, as I expect Manning to return to Austin for another season in 2026 before declaring for 2027's draft.

In fact, I projected the first 10 picks of 2027 NFL mock draft, and Manning appears in that mock. Especially in the era of NIL deals in college football, it's difficult to imagine his support network encouraging him to leave after only one season as the starter.

Manning isn't the only reason to potentially be excited for 2027. Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith would have been the first wide receiver off the board if he were eligible for the 2026 draft. In fact, if the prospects in my 2027 mock were eligible and/or included in this mock, it's possible that group could represent the first five picks.

For now, let's focus on players who are eligible for 2026 and I expect to declare.

The draft order used in this mock is based solely on the inverse of Super Bowl 60 odds with adjustments made to account for seven AFC and NFC playoff teams and not my hatred for your team (even if I do hate your team).

This excercise is more like a watch list of prospects who are then matched with teams that appear to be good fits at this stage, but obviously there is much that can and will change between now and April 2026.

Embed from Getty Images

1. Cleveland Browns: Drew Allar, QB, Penn State

We've seen examples where quarterbacks — Joe Burrow, Jayden Daniels, and Cam Ward, to name a few — have ascended from a mid-round projection before their final season to eventually go first (or second) overall. Following a down year, there are a number of quarterbacks who should hear their name called early in the draft. In addition, Allar would have likely been a top-10 pick had he declared in this past draft cycle as some teams were encouraging him to do, according to reports.

Perhaps a perfect fit to play in Cleveland and the rough-and-tumble AFC North, Allar has prototypical size and the arm strength to make all the throws anywhere on the field. Continued development by the former five-star recruit from Medina (OH) could catapult him to the top of the draft board and under center for his hometown team.

2. New York Jets: LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina

As the youngest quarterback in this mock, Sellers, who won't turn 21 until after the 2026 NFL Draft, may opt to return for another season. If he can improve his consistency and cut down on turnovers, however, the dual-threat's combination of elite size, arm strength and mobility give him as much upside as any quarterback in this draft class if he declares. While Justin Fields is under contract through 2026, Aaron Glenn, Darren Mougey, etc. could look for an upgrade.

2027 NFL Mock Draft: Arch Manning and 4 WRs in Top 10

Updated: Thursday, May 8, 2025

While I'd argue it's never too early to look ahead to next year's draft (and I did that with my 2026 NFL mock draft), I'm not sure what it says about me if I project two drafts from now.

It's possible (but perhaps unlikely) that Texas quarterback Arch Manning will enter next April's NFL draft, but there are a number of elite true sophomore prospects who won't be eligible until 2027 at the earliest.

As an example, the 2027 wide receiver class should be more like the 2024 version (Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, Rome Odunze, Brian Thomas Jr., etc.) than 2025's or even 2026's at the top. In this way-too-early look at the 2027 class, there are four wide receivers in the top 10.

The draft order was randomly determined using Super Bowl 60 odds weightings. So, in other words, all 32 teams had the potential to pick in the top 10, but the Philadelphia Eagles had the lowest odds (0.3%) as the current Super Bowl favorites and the Cleveland Browns had the highest odds (12.08%) to pick in the top 10.

To be fair, my favorite team (which will certainly win Super Bowl 61) is picking inside this top 10 as well.

With that said, let's get to how the top 10 picks could play out.

Embed from Getty Images

1. New York Giants: Arch Manning, QB, Texas

After backing up Quinn Ewers for two seasons, odds that Manning will return for another season at Texas in 2026 are greater than the odds he's one-and-done as a starter. Manning, the top overall recruit in the 2023 class, is much more athletic than his famous uncles Peyton and Eli and has good size (6'4", 225), throws well on the move and can be used on designed runs. While the Giants traded up to draft Jaxson Dart last month, it's likely that a new regime will be calling the shots if the Giants are picking third (in 2026) and then first (in 2027). Especially given New York's history with the Mannings, it may be difficult to pass on Arch in this scenario.

Giants pick in our 2026 NFL Mock Draft: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama

2. Miami Dolphins: Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State

If Smith were eligible for the 2025 NFL Draft (or 2026), he would have been the first (full-time) wide receiver selected. By the time he's done, it's possible that he's the greatest wide receiver prospect we've ever seen. He has an elite combination of size, speed, body control, hands and run-after-catch ability.

The 2025 NFL Draft is now in the rearview mirror, and soon we will turn our attention to the 2026 NFL Draft.

Before that point, however, it's time for an initial reaction to what happened this past weekend. Who were the winners and losers of the 2025 NFL Draft?

While we believe that the best measurement of the success of a draft class is done after a few years, we've compiled draft grades from a variety of sites and used their grades to arrive a consensus GPA for all teams.

See below for numerical scores for draft grades. Note: USA Today gave the Browns an "I" for incomplete, which is unscored.

2025 NFL Mock Draft

By Kevin Hanson (@EDSFootball)
Updated: Monday, January 27, 2025

Six of the first 12 picks in the 2024 NFL Draft were quarterbacks.

While quarterback is a team need for six of the first nine teams picking in 2025, this year's quarterback class is inferior to last (and next) year's group(s). Need could very well push up the top quarterbacks in this class, as it typically does.

That said, none of this year's quarterback prospects would have been selected before last year's top three — Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye.

If a quarterback isn't selected first overall, the likely pick would either be Colorado's Travis Hunter or Penn State's Abdul Carter.

It hasn't been uncommon for an edge defender like Carter to be selected first overall, but we'd have to go pretty far back for the top overall pick to not be a either a quarterback, edge rusher or offensive tackle. The last was USC's Keyshawn Johnson, who was selected first overall by the New York Jets in 1996.

Note: Draft slots 31-32 will be finalized based on the results of Super Bowl LIX.

1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami (FL)

Whether via free agency and/or the draft, it's clear that the Titans will add to their quarterback room with only Will Levis currently under contract for 2025. The former second-round pick has started 21 games over the past two seasons, a span during which he has thrown 21 touchdowns to 16 interceptions and has been sacked 69 times (tied for ninth-most over that stretch).

A lightly recruited prospect who took a winding path through college football (Incarnate Word to Washington State to Miami), Ward progressed each year and is a natural thrower with the mobility to extend and make plays.

2. Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

It's unclear whether Deshaun Watson (Achilles, contract), the latest example in Cleveland's well-documented struggles to find a franchise quarterback, will even play in 2025 after reinjuring his Achilles and playing (mostly poorly) in 19 starts over the past three years. Will they use this pick on Shedeur Sanders (despite Deion not wanting his son to play there)? While they may not care about Deion's feelings, that could be shared to entice others (Giants, Raiders or another team) to trade up so the Browns can "maximize [this pick] in another way."

If it's not a quarterback, this pick will come down to Carter or Colorado's Travis Hunter. As unique and talented as college football's ironman may be, you could make the case that Carter is the top prospect regardless of position in this class. The explosive edge rusher finished with 12 sacks and 23.5 tackles for loss in his first season as a full-time edge defender after converting from off-ball linebacker. Pairing Carter with Myles Garrett will lead to many sleepless nights for opposing quarterbacks.

Fantasy Football Start'Em, Sit'Em: Week 17

BY KEVIN HANSON (@EDSFootball)
Updated: Tuesday, December 24th

Most fantasy football leagues declare their champions in Week 17, so if you're reading this, congratulations on reaching your league's championship round and good luck in the upcoming week.

Below you will find some players that could be starts or sits in your league, but my fantasy football rankings will better help you determine if I would start Player X over Player Y.

Week 17 Fantasy Football Start'em

Sam Darnold, QB, Minnesota Vikings (vs. GB)

It may not be a great matchup against the Packers, who have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, but Darnold is the QB8 heading into the fantasy finale and scored 21.5 fantasy points (QB9) against them in Week 4. Darnold has been extremely consistent with at least 19 fantasy points in five of his past six games and only two quarterbacks — Joe Burrow and Jared Goff — have more games with 300-plus yards and two-plus touchdowns this season.

Bo Nix, QB, Denver Broncos (at CIN)

Like Darnold, Nix has vastly exceeded preseason expectations (low-end QB2 ADP). Interestly enough, Darnold (QB8) and Nix (QB9) rank just ahead of Patrick Mahomes (QB10) and Kyler Murray (QB11) in scoring. While Nix hasn't run as much recently (three or fewer rush attempts in five of his last six games), he ranks ninth among QBs in rushing yards (352) this season. His Championship Week matchup is favorable as the Bengals have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season.

Bucky Irving, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. CAR)

The Buccaneers are big favorites (-8.5) and currently have the largest implied total of the week. While injuries limited him to 10 snaps in Week 14, he has 16-plus touches in his other five most recent outings. In those games, he has finished as fantasy's RB6, RB3, RB1, RB17, and RB16, respectively, and the RB1 performance was against the Panthers. In that matchup, he finished with 25 carries for 152 yards and a touchdown along with three catches for 33 yards.

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 17

By Kevin Hanson (@EDSFootball)
Updated: Tuesday, December 24, 2024

If you're reading this, chances are that you're one step away from a championship!

To maximize the potential that these players are available in your league(s), only players available in 50% or more of Yahoo! leagues are considered. In several cases, there are injury dependencies for these players that could make them more or less valuable in Week 17.

Where possible, it makes sense to drop players that you (or your opponent) won't consider starting and add players that have upside based on players in front of them who may be dealing with injuries.
