J.J. McCarthy: With one of the league's best offensive instructures in place, McCarthy should hit the ground running (maybe literally, too) in his debut season after missing 2024 with a torn meniscus. Kevin O'Connell had Sam Darnold playing at an MVP-caliber level for much of the year, and the team has a good offensive line with a talented group of weapons (Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Adam Thielen, T.J. Hockenson, etc.). Given his plus athleticism and environment, there is plenty of upside for a season similar to Bo Nix's rookie campaign (ADP of QB20+ with a top-10 finish).

Aaron Jones Sr.: Playing a full 17-game slate in his first season as a Viking, Jones set a career high in rushing yards (1,138), attempts (255) and attempts per game (15.0). In addition, he exceeded 50 catches for the third time in the past four seasons and has averaged at least 2.7 receptions per game for six consecutive seasons. Given his age (turns 31 in December) and the addition of Jordan Mason, it's likely that the Vikings scale back his workload some, especially as a rusher, but he remains a solid RB2 in fantasy.

Jordan Mason: With Christian McCaffrey sidelined, Mason eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark and finished as a top-eight fantasy running back in three of the first four weeks of the 2024 NFL season. Going into the 2025 season, he'll "back up" Aaron Jones, but a (close to) 50-50 workload split is possible and Mason has standalone flex value with contingent upside in the event of an injury to Jones.

WIDE RECEIVERS

Justin Jefferson: Sam Darnold created some modest concerns entering 2024, but it was business as usual for Jefferson, who finished with 103 catches for 1,533 yards and a career-high 10 touchdowns on 154 targets. Jefferson was consistent throughout the season with 80-plus yards and/or a touchdown in 14 of 17 games. While Darnold will be playing his 2025 home games in the Pacific Northwest, Jefferson is essentially QB-proof in Minnesota's QB-friendly offense with second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy taking over.

Jordan Addison: While he missed a couple of games in 2024, Addison posted slightly better per-game numbers in 2024 (4.2/58.3) than 2023 (4.1/53.6). He has scored 19 touchdowns through two seasons. Addison will be suspended for the first three regular-season games, but that's the most ideal bad situation as it's fairly easy for fantasy managers to fill in for a WR3 when there are no NFL bye weeks and most players are at their healthiest. That said, the trade for Adam Thielen likely reduces his ceiling some when he returns from suspension.

Adam Thielen: Thielen had 103/1,014/4 in 2023 and actually averaged more YPG in 2024 (61.5) than 2023 (59.6). Although he missed Weeks 4-10 in 2024, Thielen finished with 40 catches on 50 targets for 506 yards and four touchdowns from Weeks 12-18. He was the WR14 (WR22 on a per-game basis) over that stretch. While he's vastly exceeded expectations over the past two years with the Carolina Panthers, it's likely that his production dips significantly as he enter his age-35 season and returns to the Vikings following his recent trade.

T.J. Hockenson: Hockenson didn't make his season debut until Nov. 3rd, and he had some solid performances although he didn't catch his first touchdown until their playoff loss. Back in 2023, Hockenson finished with 95/960/5 on 127 targets although Justin Jefferson missed half of that season. Especially with Jordan Addison suspended to start the season, Hockenson could command an even larger target share against the Bears, Falcons and Bengals in Weeks 1-3, respectively.
