Washington Nationals 2021 MLB Mock Draft Roundup

We've been tracking MLB mock drafts from various baseball analysts, writers and bloggers via our 2021 MLB Mock Draft Database.

The Washington Nationals have the 11th pick in Wednesday's draft and our Washington Nationals 2021 MLB Mock Draft Roundup compiles picks for the Nationals in recently-updated mock drafts.

The picks listed below are sorted by when the mock draft was updated (date in parenthesis) with the most recent mocks listed first.

> MLB Tickets: Washington Nationals Tickets

MLB.com - Mayo (6/2)
Sam Bachman, RHP, Miami (Ohio)

Speaking of Bachman, there are those in the scouting industry who feel he'll end up in the 7-10 range of the first round.

The Athletic - Law (5/27)
Sam Bachman, RHP, Miami (Ohio)

I may be overthinking this a little, but I find it hard to believe Mike Rizzo would pass on a starter who can throw 102 mph with a slider that grades out as an 80 in at least some outings. This could be Jobe's floor, assuming that Mason Denaburg's injury history hasn't scared them off high school arms.

MLB.com - Callis (5/26)
Sam Bachman, RHP, Miami (Ohio)

The Nationals covet Jobe, and while the pitchers they adored fell to them in 2019 (Jackson Rutledge at No. 17) and 2020 (Cade Cavalli at No. 22), it would take a miracle for that to happen again. Like Garrett Crochet, who went to the White Sox in this spot last June, Bachman has a pair of wipeout pitches and could help in the big leagues very soon, though this is his ceiling because he comes with more reliever risk than the other first-round college arms.

ESPN - McDaniel (5/11)
Jackson Jobe, RHP, Heritage Hall H.S. (OK), Ole Miss commit

Jobe was up to 99 mph in his last outing and, for some scouts, has three plus pitches headlined by his 3,000-plus rpm two-plane breaking ball. He's not huge but possesses incredible stuff with solid arm action and delivery. He could go as high as No. 6 to Arizona, but medium-framed prep righties can be a risky proposition, so I could also see him sliding as far as a few picks behind this.
