Chicago White Sox 2021 MLB Mock Draft Roundup

We've been tracking MLB mock drafts from various baseball analysts, writers and bloggers via our 2021 MLB Mock Draft Database.

The Chicago White Sox have the 22nd pick in the 2021 MLB Draft and our Chicago White Sox 2021 MLB Mock Draft Roundup compiles picks for the White Sox in recently-updated mock drafts.

The picks listed below are sorted by when the mock draft was updated (date in parenthesis) with the most recent mocks listed first.

> MLB Tickets: Chicago White Sox Tickets

MLB.com - Mayo (6/2)
Jud Fabian, OF, Florida

Fabian might be the toughest guy to place now as he righted the ship for a while, then had a very rough weekend against Arkansas (1-for-11, 9 strikeouts) and didn't do much in conference tournament play, but the tools are still legit.

The Athletic - Law (5/27)
Chase Petty, RHP, Mainland (NJ) HS

The White Sox do things their own particular way, and have never been worried about pitchers with tough deliveries if the stuff is there, so while Petty has a violent delivery and only two pitches, you can't argue against his velocity (up to 101 at times, 94-99 when I saw him). I've also heard them on Indiana prep infielder Colson Montgomery.

MLB.com - Callis (5/26)
Andrew Painter, RHP, Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)

The White Sox invested $7.1 million in premium high school right-handers (Jared Kelley, Matthew Thompson and Andrew Dalquist) in the last two Drafts, though they didn't take any of them in the first round. It's unlikely they could push Painter all the way to their next pick at No. 57, however. Chicago could be the peak for Indiana prep third baseman Colson Montgomery, who's generating a lot of recent first-round buzz.

ESPN - McDaniel (5/11)
Jaden Hill, RHP, LSU

Hill was a top-10 pick entering the year despite a short track record on the mound and some injuries. He was up-and-down with flashes of greatness this spring, then went down with Tommy John surgery. The lack of track record and polish puts him next to advanced high school pitchers, but the surgery timeline pushes Hill behind the top couple of prep arms. He also may land in the comp or early second round where a team can spread savings from their first pick, but I'd expect a bonus in line with the 15th to 25th overall pick (i.e. $3-4 million).
