Amarius Mims — NFL Mock Draft Roundup 2.0

Leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft, we will track where Georgia Bulldogs offensive tackle Amarius Mims appears in the latest NFL mock drafts.

Amarius Mims NFL Mock Drafts

Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Mims has appeared:

CBS Sports - Kyle Stackpole

#20 overall, Pittsburgh Steelers

Russell Wilson will get the first crack as QB1, with Justin Fields waiting for his opportunity. Regardless of whom is the starter, the Steelers will have two Georgia tackles protecting them in Broderick Jones and Amarius Mims.

NFL.com - Eric Edholm

#27 overall (TRADE), Washington Commanders

The Commanders have two early second-round picks that they could use to move up for one of two big needs: pass-rush talent or an offensive tackle. In this exercise, they give new quarterback J.J. McCarthy some blocking help up front with Mims, who remains raw but could be an elite tackle in time. Washington is building gradually.

The Ringer - Danny Kelly

#20 overall, Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are going to want to run the ball and throw off play-action under new OC Arthur Smith and new quarterback Russell Wilson (and/or Justin Fields). Getting their run game going will be the first priority, and Mims can help there. He's a gargantuan right tackle who can drop in opposite last year's first-rounder, another former Georgia tackle in Broderick Jones.

NFL.com - Charles Davis

#32 overall, Kansas City Chiefs

In my first mock, I had Kansas City going with the fastest player in the draft, Texas WR Xavier Worthy. However, after the recent signing of speedster Marquise Brown, GM Brett Veach turns to the offensive line and takes the ultra-talented yet inexperienced (eight college starts) tackle from Georgia.

CBS Sports - Pete Prisco

#21 overall,

Terron Armstead is getting up in the years and was said to be considering retiring, so it's time to get a long-term left tackle. Amarius Mims can play right guard in 2024 when Armstead is on the field.

ESPN - Matt Miller

#24 overall, Dallas Cowboys

Dallas let Tyron Smith walk with no obvious replacement on the roster -- at least without creating another hole elsewhere. Mims is easy-moving with elite agility, length and power. He has only started eight games in college after waiting his turn behind 2023 first-rounder Broderick Jones and missing time last season with an ankle injury, but those eight games of tape are beautiful. The Cowboys could play Mims at guard and move Tyler Smith to tackle ... Or keep Smith inside and play the ascending Mims on the blindside. In an offseason where Dallas was the last team to sign a free agent, there are more questions than answers right now, so the draft will be crucial.

ESPN - Mike Tannenbaum

#18 overall, Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals need a right tackle with Joe Burrow coming back from his right wrist injury and last year's starter (Jonah Williams) joining the Cardinals. The Trent Brown signing helps, but it is a one-year deal, and he missed six games to injury last season. So how about Mims? He has a 6-8, 340-pound frame, and his 1.78-second 10-yard split in his 40-yard dash shows his acceleration. However, Mims has played only 774 snaps (relatively inexperienced for an offensive line prospect) and needs to be quicker on his feet.
