Carnell Tate — 2026 NFL Mock Draft Roundup 2.0

Leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft, we will track where Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Carnell Tate appears in the latest NFL mock drafts.

Carnell Tate NFL Mock Drafts

Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Carnell Tate has appeared:

NFL.com — Lance Zierlein

No. 6 overall — Cleveland Browns

Whether the Browns' quarterback is already in the building, in this draft class or currently on another roster, Tate will make that man's job much easier.

ESPN — Matt Miller

No. 5 overall — New York Giants

The Giants are fascinating to project in many ways. They have a good young nucleus in QB Jaxson Dart, RB Cam Skattebo, WR Malik Nabers and edge Abdul Carter, along with established stars in OT Andrew Thomas, Edge Brian Burns and DT Dexter Lawrence II -- but something is clearly missing. Could loading up on offense be the answer? Tate would be the perfect complement to Nabers given his precise route running and workmanlike ability to win catches in traffic. Tate's tape reminds me of Justin Jefferson at LSU, and he enters the league with a similar body type and skill set.

So although the Giants could consider a right tackle or defensive back here, pairing Tate with Nabers to give Dart more playmakers is the move.

CBS Sports — Ryan Wilson

No. 5 overall — New York Giants

Tate is a long strider with a big catch radius and reliable hands who makes contested catches downfield look easy. He flashes quickness and short-area agility to create separation at the top of his route and has the ability to make defenders miss after the catch. His ball-tracking, route-running and ability to operate in space make him a Day 1 impact player at the next level.

PFF — Trevor Sikkema

No. 14 overall — Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens have trench needs, but that doesn't mean they have to address them in Round 1. They certainly could, but with Tate still on the board, I like him as an option. Tate improved his efficiency as a route runner this season and displayed the most reliable hands in the country, with an 85.7% contested catch rate, a 0.0% drop rate and an 89.0 PFF receiving grade.

The Athletic — Baumgardner/Dochterman

No. 4 overall — Tennessee Titans

The Titans could go edge at No. 4 (Texas Tech's David Bailey), but everything in GM Mike Borgonzi's world right now has to be about helping quarterback Cam Ward. There are spots in need of upgrades all over the place, but the Titans are pretty desperate for a true WR1. Tate (or Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson) fits.

NFL.com — Bucky Brooks

No. 4 overall — Tennessee Titans

Even if the Titans find a WR1 in free agency, a dearth of perimeter talent (rookie Elic Ayomanor just led Tennessee receivers with 515 yards) could inspire the team to double-dip at the position, with Tate (17.2 yards per catch in 2025) coming aboard as a big-play specialist.

NFL.com — Daniel Jeremiah

No. 16 overall — New York Jets (via IND)

This would be a value pick, but we see talented receivers go in this area of the draft year after year (Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Emeka Egbuka, Justin Jefferson). The Jets pair former Ohio State star Garrett Wilson with a fellow Buckeye.
