Pittsburgh Steelers Mock Draft Roundup 3.0

Throughout the year and leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft, we will update our Pittsburgh Steelers Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Pittsburgh Steelers from several prominent sites and draft analysts.

The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Steelers:

ESPN - Mel Kiper (2/28)

20. Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson

I went corner in my Mock Draft 1.0, and I don't see a reason to change, though the Steelers just cut starting center Mason Cole and will have to replace him. Wiggins could pair a formidable pairing with Joey Porter Jr., who came on in the second half of last season. Wiggins allowed just 4.2 yards per attempt as the nearest defender in coverage last season, taking a leap forward from 2022, when he allowed 6.1. At 6-2, 185 pounds, he has a great blend of size and speed. With 2 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles and a sack, he showed up all over the Tigers' 2023 tape.

The Athletic - CFB Writers (2/27)

20. Jackson Powers-Johnson, IOL, Oregon

Let's make it back-to-back years that the Steelers select an offensive lineman in the first round. Yes, the offense has many areas for improvement, but the chance for longevity and consistency at a key spot on the line can't be ignored. Powers-Johnson played right guard in 2022 before sliding into the middle full-time in 2023 and winning the Rimington Trophy, given to the nation's most outstanding center. — Snyder

NFL.com - Bucky Brooks (2/27)

20. Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

A commitment to retool the offense could prompt the Steelers to add a massive front-line blocker to the lineup. Mims' size, athleticism and movement skills make him an enticing upside pick for a team that excels in player development.

The Athletic - NFL Beat Writers (2/22)

20. Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

Knowing GM Omar Khan, he might not have stayed put at No. 20 with Powers-Johnson on the board and the center-needy Rams coming up. So, if the draft breaks this way, don't be shocked if the Steelers move up to grab the massive center. Their consolation prize here isn't too shabby. The Steelers want to solidify the trenches, and picking Guyton and flipping last year's top pick Broderick Jones to left tackle would be ideal. Once a defensive tackle recruit at TCU before moving to the offensive line and then transferring, the 6-foot-7 Guyton is similar to Jones, as he doesn't have a lot of collegiate experience, but the talent is too great to overlook. — Mark Kaboly

Yahoo! Sports - McDonald/Tice (2/22)

20. Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

The Steelers have a lot of needs on their defense, but there might not be a bigger one than cornerback. They hit a home run with Joey Porter Jr. in the draft last year, but don't have many quality bodies at cornerback outside of him. McKinstry isn't projected to go as highly as he was prior to the season, but he's still a high-upside man cover corner that the Steelers don't have many of.

NFL.com - Daniel Jeremiah (2/21)

20. Troy Fautanu, IOL, Washington

Pittsburgh invests in the offensive line in Round 1 for the second year in a row. Fautanu fits the physical identity the Steelers are looking to create. He can play anywhere on the line, but it would be fun to watch him line up next to 2023 first-round pick Broderick Jones.
