David Stone — 2027 NFL Mock Draft Roundup 1.0
Leading up to the 2027 NFL Draft, we will track where Oklahoma Sooners defensive lineman David Stone appears in the latest NFL mock drafts.
David Stone NFL Mock Drafts
Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which David Stone has appeared:
No. 10 overall — Atlanta Falcons
A high-motor D-lineman with quick feet who can get off blocks early in the rep to be a consistent disruptive presence in the backfield. Stone can line up anywhere along the D-line and often finds himself around the ball vs. the run.
No. 12 overall — New York Jets (via IND)
The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Stone can play any spot up front. He's difficult to displace with his excellent play power and is capable of latching and disengaging from blockers with ease. Stone wins as a pass rusher with overwhelming strength, but right now he's more of a pocket collapser than true finisher (1.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss last season). He needs to develop a true go-to move, but with further development, he could join T'Vondre Sweat and help fill the hole in the Jets' defensive front left by Quinnen Williams' departure.
No. 31 overall — Buffalo Bills
The Sooners rely on a heavy rotation along the defensive line, but Stone consistently jumped off the film when studying the 2025 Oklahoma defense.
No. 15 overall — New York Jets (via IND)
Entering his third season, Stone's athleticism and versatility have quickly shown up along Brent Venables' defensive front. A former five-star out of IMG Academy, he uses cat-like quickness and the ability to displace blockers to create consistent backfield disruption.
No. 11 overall — New York Giants
On the surface, the Giants have needs everywhere except at quarterback and the two positions they addressed in the first round of the 2025 draft. Stone is not the same type of pass rusher as Dexter Lawrence — he has just three career sacks — but he is built like a mammoth and could help rejuvenate a defense that was pummeled by run-heavy offenses last season.
