Chop Robinson — NFL Mock Draft Roundup 2.0

Leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft, we will track where Penn State Nittany Lions edge Chop Robinson appears in the latest NFL mock drafts.

Chop Robinson NFL Mock Drafts

Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Robinson has appeared:

CBS Sports - Kyle Stackpole

#26 overall, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The explosive Chop Robinson replaces Shaq Barrett in Tampa Bay.

NFL.com - Eric Edholm

#26 overall, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The loss of Shaq Barrett opens a hole at pass rusher, and Robinson could jump right into the mix with Joe Tryon-Shoyinka and YaYa Diaby to create some great third-down potential. The Bucs also ask their ends to work from a two-point stance and drop into coverage; Chop has the athleticism to do that.

The Ringer - Danny Kelly

#19 overall, Los Angeles Rams

With Aaron Donald riding off into retirement, the Rams look to add more pass-rushing talent to the defensive line here. Robinson's an explosive athlete with an absolutely elite first step, and if he can add a few moves to his arsenal he may have Pro Bowl potential. L.A. struck gold last year with a super athletic rusher in Byron Young, and they look to do it again with Robinson.

CBS Sports - Pete Prisco

#31 overall, San Francisco 49ers

They signed Leonard Floyd, but they need more help rushing the passer. Chop Robinson has the speed that would show up in their defense.

ESPN - Matt Miller

#29 overall, Detroit Lions

The Lions stick to their board. In 2023, that meant going running back and off-ball linebacker in Round 1. But I think Detroit targets a premium position this year. Robinson has electric speed (4.48 in the 40) and first-step quickness, getting on offensive tackles right off the snap. His production in college was limited -- just four sacks last season -- but this is a bet on his burst and potential. I like his skill set opposite Aidan Hutchinson.

The Athletic - Ben Standig

#26 overall, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The reigning three-time NFC South champs were creative in keeping their pieces together this offseason but did release veteran edge rusher Shaquil Barrett. Robinson's college stats were underwhelming (11 1/2 sacks in 30 games), but his athletic testing at the combine punctuated his standing atop Bruce Feldman's "Freaks" list.
