Flau'jae Johnson - WNBA Mock Draft Roundup 1.0

Leading up to the 2026 WNBA Draft, we will track where LSU's Flau'jae Johnson appears in the latest WNBA mock drafts.

Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Flau'jae Johnson has appeared:

USA Today — Meghan L. Hall

No. 6 overall — TOR/POR (subject to coin flip)

Any team that drafts Johnson is automatically getting a burst of energy on both ends of the floor. She has an elite knack for finding the ball, stripping the other team of it and turning it into transition points. Additionally, the LSU star is at her best when she uses her speed to get downhill to the basket or stop and pop right into a jumpshot (similar to Phoenix Mercury guard Kahleah Copper). Johnson can also knock down shots from 3-point range, and Toronto or Portland should appreciate that.

CBS Sports — Jack Maloney

No. 5 overall — Chicago Sky

The Sky traded the No. 3 pick in last year's draft (Sonia Citron) for Ariel Atkins, which was criticized at the time and looks even worse in retrospect. They are lucky to even have a lottery pick this year and cannot mess up this selection. Johnson is a true three-level scorer who would bring a real sense of star power to Wintrust Arena and fulfill the team's need for a guard of the future.

The Athletic — Sabreena Merchant

No. 5 overall — Chicago Sky

Everything I wrote about Johnson during the offseason still applies, and thanks to LSU's cakewalk of a nonconference schedule, we haven't learned anything new about Johnson in her senior season. What we do know is that she has a consistent pull-up jumper, is devastating in transition and is an active defensive playmaker, particularly as a help defender. Whether she can be a No. 1 option is up in the air, but she is good at just about everything on the basketball court, and she seems like an A-plus teammate to have in the locker room. Chicago gets some perimeter star power to complement Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso, reuniting the LSU national champions.

ESPN — Michael Voepel

No. 5 overall — Chicago Sky

The guard-heavy Tigers will showcase Johnson's ability to run the court this season. She is averaging 17.3 PPG, 4.3 RPG and 3.7 APG for No. 5 LSU. The Tigers' soft nonconference schedule hasn't challenged them, but Johnson already has proven herself in three years of SEC play.
