All four of the AFC divisions are separated by at least two wins with only three games remaining in the 2012 regular season.
Both the Patriots and Broncos have locked up their divisions and the Texans have clinched a playoff berth. In addition, three of the league's four teams with double-digit wins play in the AFC.
Meanwhile, things are a little closer in the NFC. There are 10 teams with a .500 record or better. By comparison, there are only seven teams with a .500-plus record in the AFC.
The Falcons have clinched the NFC South, but the other three divisions are separated by only one game or 1.5 games.
Here is this week's roundtable question: Who will win the NFC East?
Kevin (follow Kevin on Twitter): Dallas Cowboys
With three games to go, the Giants control their own destiny as both the 'Skins and 'Boys trail the G-Men by one game. That said, the Giants have the hardest schedule of the three teams having to face the Falcons and Ravens on the road and division-rival Eagles in Week 17.
Here is my bold prediction: The Giants will lose out and miss the playoffs.
Playing in Atlanta and Baltimore are tough environments and the Eagles will look to play spoiler in what may turn out to be Andy Reid's last game in the City of Brotherly Love.
The Week 17 showdown at FedEx Field will decide the division and the Cowboys will escape with the division ... and then disappoint their fanbase with a first-round playoff exit.
John (follow John on Twitter): New York Giants
The Giants will win the NFC East. They play their best football when it counts, and have one of the most talented teams in the league.
The Redskins are a popular pick right now, but RGIII once again showed how vulnerable he is to injury this past weekend. Although Cousins came in and did a good job helping them get a big win, I don't think Washington will win out without Griffin, and they remain a game behind the Giants.
Similarly, the Cowboys just aren't very good. Dez Bryant may be done for the year now, and they just haven't shown that they're capable of winning big games down the stretch. They have a tough schedule and seem poised to once again finish at .500, on the outside looking in.
Dan (follow Dan on Twitter): New York Giants
The NFC East is one of the few divisions left to be decided, as the Redskins and Cowboys are within one game of the Giants with three left to play.
The Giants however will win the NFC East this year, as they have the one-game lead, and they will win twp of their last three games against Atlanta, Baltimore, and Philadelphia.
The Redskins have a much easier schedule against Cleveland, Dallas and Philadelphia, but would have to run the table in order to overtake the Giants.
Here are some stats on this week's consensus rankings:
- Biggest jump from last update: Cleveland Browns (4.75)
- Biggest drop from last update: Detroit Lions (4.00)
- Team with widest difference between high and low rank: Carolina Panthers (7)

All of our rankings are from owner Kevin Hanson, who finished third overall in accuracy by FantasyPros in 2011.
Here's what FantasyPros wrote (about Hanson) in their year-end announcement of accuracy results:
"... Hanson was a fixture in the top 5 throughout the season and even led the contest heading into the final week. He also owns the distinction as being the only expert to eclipse the 70% PAY™ mark for a single position. ... Simply put, if you needed QB advice in 2011, the ultimate source to go to was over at EDSFootball. That’s not to say that Hanson was a one-trick pony, however. He also earned a top 10 rating at both WR (# 3) & RB (# 8), demonstrating that he’s among the best of the best when it comes to fantasy prognostication."
