Derrick Harmon — NFL Mock Draft Roundup 2.0

Leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, we will track where Oregon Ducks interior defensive lineman Derrick Harmon appears in the latest NFL mock drafts.

Derrick Harmon NFL Mock Drafts

Here are some of the latest mock drafts in which Harmon has appeared:

CBS Sports — Tom Fornelli

No. 30 overall — Buffalo Bills

Buffalo needs an infusion on the interior of its defensive line, and Derrick Harmon has plenty of admirers. I find his tape to be inconsistent, but when he flashes, he flashes pretty bright.

Yahoo! Sports — Tice/McDonald

No. 11 overall — San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers start to rebuild and reinforce their roster with a pick in the trenches. Harmon is equally adept at defending the run and pass, and can be asked to fill a variety of roles along the interior. He would be great in the 49ers' heavy use of twists and stunts, and he gives San Francisco a young player to start replenishing its recently tenacious front.

No. 11 overall — San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers wanted to trade down in this scenario, but the two most likely reasons for doing so — Warren and Jeanty — were off the board and the phone lines were dead. So San Francisco goes with Harmon, a big, productive defender with versatility on the inside of the line. No college interior defensive lineman had more quarterback pressures than Harmon last season, per PFF. The 49ers also have had good luck over the years with Ducks defenders — Arik Armstead, DeForest Buckner and Deommodore Lenoir. It's worth noting that GM John Lynch was among five 49ers scouts on hand for Oregon's pro day earlier this week and that he had dinner with Ducks head coach Dan Lanning. "He's become a good friend and ally," Lynch said Wednesday. — Matt Barrows

NFL.com — Daniel Jeremiah

No. 27 overall — Baltimore Ravens

Harmon is ultra disruptive. He plays with outstanding effort and a motor that would be appreciated in Baltimore.

Fox Sports — Rob Rang

No. 27 overall — Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are annually one of the NFL's best on Draft Day because they let the board fall to them and rarely reach to fill a need. Harmon is a physically dominant player who should be drafted earlier, but he's battled with inconsistency. Burly and nasty, he'd fit right in with the Ravens.

CBS Sports — Chris Trapasso

No. 20 overall — Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars desperately need more interior push from their defensive line. They get that with an aggressive move for Harmon. In this swap, the Jaguars send picks No. 36 (second round), No. 70 (third round), and No. 88 (third round) to the Broncos, for the rights to pick Harmon.

Fox Sports — Joel Klatt

No. 30 overall — Buffalo Bills

Buffalo is still looking to take down Kansas City, who lost two Super Bowls with Mahomes in the same way: struggling to contain the opponent's interior. The Bills already have Ed Oliver, but they can continue to build around him in the middle. Harmon's a physical and active rusher.

ESPN — Mel Kiper

No. 21 overall — Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers could go in a handful of directions. I'm going to assume they sign Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson, which will take care of the quarterback position. Running back is a potential play if Ashton Jeanty or Omarion Hampton is available, given Najee Harris went to the Chargers. Cornerback also could be the move, as new signing Darius Slay Jr. is 34 and on a one-year deal. However, I'm addressing the defensive line in my projection.

Cameron Heyward had eight sacks last season, but he will turn 36 this summer. There could be a hole alongside Keeanu Benton sooner rather than later. Harmon has the versatility to move all over the D-line, but his best spot is inside, where he can use his speed and power to be disruptive. He had 35 pressures and 10 tackles for loss last season.

CBS Sports — Mike Renner

No. 21 overall — Pittsburgh Steelers

Derrick Harmon just feels like a Steeler: a no-nonsense interior defender who can either two-gap or one-gap with relative ease. He would give them a seamless transition plan from the ageless Cam Heyward.

The 33rd Team — Kyle Crabbs

No. 24 overall — Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota's overhaul of the trenches in free agency has been impressive to watch.

Still, how much does Javon Hargrave have left in the tank? For one of the league's best rosters, getting young names in the pipeline to take over long-term is a must for Minnesota to sustain its window.
