Philadelphia Eagles Mock Draft Roundup 1.0
Throughout the year and leading up to the 2021 NFL draft, we will update our Philadelphia Eagles Mock Draft Roundup showing picks for the Philadelphia Eagles from several prominent sites and draft analysts.
The following are picks in recent mock drafts for the Eagles:
Pro Football Network - DiCecco (6/7)
23) Philadelphia Eagles: Xavier Thomas, EDGE Clemson
The Eagles boast an embarrassment of riches at the defensive tackle position, but the depth at edge rusher leaves a lot to be desired. Next season, Brandon Graham will be 33, and Derek Barnett has yet to live up to his first-round billing. Thomas is a blue-chip pass rusher that will be a plug-and-play option as a rookie.
Fox Sports - McIntyre (6/7)
28. Philadelphia Eagles -- Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota
If Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson are just one year band-aids while they work in Goodwin, Reagor and Arcega-Whiteside, another receiver in 2021 feels likely.
Walter Football (5/19)
23. Philadelphia Eagles: Trey Hill, C, Georgia
The Eagles were linked to Cesar Ruiz. They need a guard now, and they'll need to replace Jason Kelce when he retires. If they can't get Ruiz in the second round, perhaps they'll be interested in a different center in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Trey Hill put himself on the first-round map when he handled Derrick Brown impressively in 2019.
CBS Sports - Edwards (5/12)
28. Philadelphia Eagles: Tylan Wallace, WR, Oklahoma State
It would also be the second consecutive year that Philadelphia has used a first round pick on a wide receiver. The overhaul is likely to continue with Alshon Jeffery, so Wallace gives the Eagles a dynamic downfield threat.
CBS Sports - Trapasso (5/4)
24. Philadelphia Eagles: Jevon Holland, S, Oregon
The Eagles need to address the edge spot, yet without a premier player at that position, Philly goes with Holland, who's looked like a future first-round pick since he stepped on the field in Eugene. He does everything.
PFF - Renner (4/30)
27. Philadelphia Eagles -- IOL Creed Humphrey, Oklahoma
Humphrey struggled mightily with Baylor nose tackle Bravvion Roy's power in the Big 12 title game, and it's likely a big reason why he returned to Norman. That said, we've seen him play excellent football ever since he earned a 78.9 overall grade as a redshirt freshman for the Sooners in 2018.
San Diego Union Tribune (4/29)
27. Philadelphia (18/1) -- Richard LeCounte, S, Georgia
LeCounte led the SEC in fumbles recovered (three) and was second in interceptions (four) as a junior.
SI - Hanson (4/27)
27. Philadelphia Eagles: Creed Humphrey, IOL, Oklahoma
Center Jason Kelce has played at a high level for a long-time, but he will turn 32 this season and the Eagles could find a long-term replacement for him in next year's draft. Humphrey would have been in the first-round mix had he declared last year and could be the first center prospect off the board in 2021.
Bleacher Report - Miller (4/27)
24. Philadelphia Eagles -- S JaCoby Stevens, LSU
The Eagles didn't address the defensive backfield in the 2020 draft until the fourth round and will need to make it a priority next offseason. One quick fix would be to look at the LSU secondary and the next man up at the safety position--JaCoby Stevens.
Coaches at Baton Rouge already believe Stevens has first-round potential, and it's easy to agree with that after watching him play in person four times last season. Stevens has range, but he's also a responsible, smart player in coverage who can fill the need for a versatile defender at the position.
SB Nation - Kadar (4/27)
25. Philadelphia Eagles: Paulson Adebo, CB, Stanford
The Eagles didn't take a cornerback in the draft after trading for Darius Slay and giving him a three-year contract. They could go into the next draft needing someone to pair with him. Adebo could have been a top-64 pick in the draft this year.
The Athletic - Brugler (4/27)
26. Philadelphia Eagles -- *Marco Wilson, CB, Florida
After missing most of the 2018 season because of injury, Wilson returned last season and played well, even with the extra attention when offenses looked to stay away from CJ Henderson's side. He has good size, athleticism and ball skills, posting three interceptions last year.
