Fantasy Football Mock Draft Per Day (June 5th): 12 teams, No. 7 pick, PPR Scoring with Super Flex

Back on May 27th, we began our 2014 fantasy football mock draft per day series using our site's mock draft simulator (powered by FantasyPros).

As we continue through the offseason, I will continue to complete a mock draft every day as I vary the scoring format, league size, draft slot, etc. and today's mock is a 12-team league with point-per-reception (PPR) scoring and a QB-eligible flex spot. I have the No. 7 pick.

Here are my picks in today's mock draft:

1.07 - Matt Forte, RB, Chicago Bears: The perfect back for Trestman's offense, Forte set career highs with 1,933 yards from scrimmage and 74 receptions while tying a previous career high of 12 touchdowns last year.

2.06 - Robert Griffin III, QB, Washington Redskins: With a premium on QBs in this format and six of them already off the board, Griffin III is my top-ranked QB still available. Healthy this offseason and with a more talented core of skill players, RG3 should have a bounce-back season in 2014 (provided he stays healthy).

3.07 - Jimmy Graham, TE, New Orleans Saints: Based on my PPR rankings, Graham is the No. 6 player (non-QB) in my rankings. In this mock, he is the 19th non-QB selected. What a steal!

4.06 - Alshon Jeffery, WR, Chicago Bears: Jeffery broke out last year and led the Bears in receiving yards (1,421) and set the team's single-game receiving yards record as he had a pair of 200-yard games. As half of the league's most talented tandem of receivers, he may not lead the team in receiving this year, but he's an enormous value this late.

5.07 - Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks: In case there is another mini-run on QBs, Wilson gives me my flex here.

6.06 - Toby Gerhart, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars: Gerhart will go from an infrequently-used option in Minnesota to a workhorse back in Jacksonville. Earlier this offseason, coach Gus Bradley said that Gerhart could get up to 20 touches per game.

7.07 - Frank Gore, RB, San Francisco 49ers: Once a productive receiver out of the backfield, that is no longer the case. That said, Gore has rushed for at least 1,128 yards and eight touchdowns in three consecutive seasons and is certainly worth a seventh-rounder.

8.06 - Pierre Thomas, RB, New Orleans Saints: With Darren Sproles on the roster last year, PT had a career-high 77 receptions last season. With Sproles now in Philadelphia, even more receptions seem possible this year.

9.07 - Marques Colston, WR, New Orleans Saints: Colston had a disappointing season (75/943/5). On a per-game basis, he was much better in the final 8G (6.0/75.1/0.5) than he was in the first 7G (3.9/48.9/0.1). There are some concerns about his foot, but I love him at this spot.

10.06 - Golden Tate, WR, Detroit Lions: With Calvin Johnson on one side, Tate gives the Lions a legit No. 2 option that they have lacked over the past few seasons. Tate will have an opportunity to exceed the career-best numbers he posted last year (64/898/5).

11.07 - Cecil Shorts, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars: I have Shorts ranked one spot lower than Hakeem Nicks, but I figured I'd have a better shot of getting both if I selected Shorts first. Nicks went at 11.10, however.

12.06 - Dwayne Bowe, WR, Kansas City Chiefs: Although he is coming off a disappointng season, Bowe had 39 catches for 521 yards and four touchdowns in his final eight games counting their playoff loss.

13.07 - Christine Michael, RB, Seattle Seahawks: With the news that the Seahawks plan to use a running back by committee, there is no chance that Michael will be available in mock drafts in the near future.

14.06 - Kansas City Chiefs D/ST: As usual, it's my top-ranked defense in the second-to-last round ...

15.07 - Matt Bryant, K, Atlanta Falcons: ... and my top-ranked kicker in the final round.
