2014 Fantasy Football PPR Mock Draft: Round 14

Scoring: This mock draft is based on re-draft leagues (2014 season only) and based on point-per-reception (PPR) scoring. Passing touchdowns are worth four points while rushing and receiving touchdowns are worth six points. Receptions are worth one point. In addition, one point is earned per 25 passing yards, 10 rushing yards and 10 receiving yards.

Mock Draft Start Date: Saturday, July 12th
Mock Draft End Date: Tuesday, August 5th

Four of our site's contributors — Kevin Hanson, Brendan Donahue, Sean Beazley and Dan Yanotchko — will make picks for three teams of this 12-team mock. The mock will go 14 rounds with no kickers or team defenses selected.

Although this is a slow draft, we will post picks as they occur, along with comments from Kevin Hanson, instead of waiting until the entire mock draft is complete.

Here are Round 14 results:

14.01 - Dan Yanotchko (Team 3): Andre Williams, RB, New York Giants

With David Wilson being placed on IR and his career likely over, it opens the door for Williams to be the team's No. 2 running back behind Rashad Jennings in addition to getting most of the goal-line work. While he looked good in the first preseason game and scored a touchdown, Williams is not much of a receiver out of the backfield. He led college football with 2,177 rushing yards last year and had zero receptions. In four college seasons, he had 704 carrries and just 10 receptions.

[Related: Williams was the biggest weekly mover through Aug. 4th in Fantasy ADP.]

14.02 - Kevin Hanson (Team 3): Tre Mason, RB, St. Louis Rams

While Zac Stacy's role as workhorse appears to be safe, it's unclear how many touches Mason will get as a rookie. Pass protection is always the hardest adjustment for rookie running backs and Auburn didn't throw the ball much, but he was extremely productive as a runner with 1,816 yards and 23 touchdowns last season.

14.03 - Brendan Donahue (Team 3): Rod Streater, WR, Oakland Raiders

In his second season, Streater led the team in receiving with career highs of 60 receptions for 888 yards and four touchdowns. The Raiders signed James Jones in free agency and Andre Holmes has some breakout potential, but I would expect Streater to lead the team in receiving once again.

14.04 - Sean Beazley (Team 3): Donald Brown, RB, San Diego Chargers

Brown set career highs in yards from scrimmage (751), yards per carry (5.1), receptions (27) and touchdowns (eight) last season. It may be difficult for him to build upon last year's success after signing a free-agent deal in San Diego as he's third in line for touches behind Ryan Mathews and Danny Woodhead. That said, Mathews played a full 16-game season for the first time in his career.

14.05 - Sean Beazley (Team 2): James Jones, WR, Oakland Raiders

One year after leading the NFL with a career-high 14 touchdown receptions, Jones had only three touchdowns, which was a five-year low, but he set a career high with 817 yards on 59 catches. That said, it's a huge downgrade in offense and quarterback for Jones, who signed a free-agent deal with the Raiders.

14.06 - Brendan Donahue (Team 2): Harry Douglas, WR, Atlanta Falcons

With injuries to Roddy White and Julio Jones, Douglas had a breakout season with 85 catches for 1,067 yards and two touchdowns. Even though the Falcons lost Tony Gonzalez to retirement and they will use that trio as part of their base offense, Douglas is unlikely to come close to last year's reception and yards totals.

14.07 - Kevin Hanson (Team 2): Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

With RG3 as the starter for this team, it makes some sense to draft a second quarterback due to his durability risk. Big Ben threw for 4,261 yards and 28 touchdowns, both of which were the second-highest totals of his career, as he finished as the fantasy QB11 last season.

With greater use of their no-huddle offense in the final nine games last year, the Steelers averaged 10.36 more points during that stretch than they did in the first seven games. And they are expected to go no-huddle more often in 2014.

14.08 - Dan Yanotchko (Team 2): Dri Archer, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers

I'm not sure how productive Archer will be as a rookie, but the diminutive (5-8, 173) Kent State product has blazing speed and exceptional quickness. Behind both Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount on the depth chart, Archer has the most potential as a receiver out of the backfield and in space due to his athleticism.

14.09 - Kevin Hanson (Team 1): Heath Miller, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers

The third Steeler off the board in a row, Miller provides some insurance behind Jordan Reed, the starter for this team. While Miller does not have the high upside that someone like Reed or other TEs have, he is a solid producer with an extra year removed from his ACL injury. I have Miller projected for a stat line of 68/751/5.

14.10 - Dan Yanotchko (Team 1): Dwayne Allen, TE, Indianapolis Colts

Lost for the season after catching only one pass in the opener, Allen has some breakout potential this year. Not only is he most well-rounded and talented tight end on the Colts roster, but Rob Chudzinski has joined the coaching staff. Chud has a history of coaching up tight ends and Allen could be the next in line.

14.11 - Sean Beazley (Team 1): Kenny Britt, WR, St. Louis Rams

While injuries and off-the-field troubles have prevented him from realizing his full potential, Britt is still just 25 years old with good size (6-foot-3, 223) and plenty of natural talent. Reuinited with coach Jeff Fisher in an offense full of mediocre receivers, Britt is worth the risk for those that gamble on him with a late-round pick.

Britt is listed as one of the starters on offense along with Tavon Austin, the Rams first-round pick last year, and reports this offseason have been extremely positive.

14.12 - Brendan Donahue (Team 1): Cody Latimer, WR, Denver Broncos

Better in dynasty leagues, Latimer should begin the season as the team's No. 4 receiver, but it wouldn't be a huge upset if he unseats Emmanuel Sanders by the end of the season. A big target (6-2, 215), Latimer had 72 catches for 1,096 yards and nine touchdowns with the Hoosiers last sesaon.
