Roddy White has record-setting day, too
Cowboys receiver Miles Austin wasn't the only receiver to set a franchise receiving record today.
Falcons receiver Roddy White, who had only 119 receiving yards in his previous three games, set a franchise record with 210 receiving yards in today's rout over the 49ers.
“Me and coach [Mike] Smith had a talk. He was like, ‘You’ve got to get back to being yourself again. You’ve got to go back out there and be the old Roddy. No pressure.’ After we had that talk, I kind of came to practice with a new mentality. Kind of got back to just doing what I do.”
The previous Falcons' record was 198 yards set by Terance Mathis in 1998. White's previous career high was 164 yards.
