Bradford has shoulder sprain, BYU upsets OU
Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford suffered a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder, according to Chuck Carlton of the Dallas Morning News.
Bradford, who is the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, is scheduled for an MRI Monday, at which point the degree of his sprain will be determined.
The third-ranked Sooners were 22-point favorites over BYU, but the Cougars upset the Sooners 14-13.
"We just beat the No. 3 team in the country," said [BYU] quarterback Max Hall, per Jay Drew of the Salt Lake Tribune. "It's just unbelievable. It's a special moment I will never forget. None of us will."
This was BYU's first win over a ranked opponent in 13 attempts, according to Drew.
Oklahoma plays Idaho State next Saturday and Tulsa on September 19th. Then they don't play again until October 3rd when they play Miami (FL).
In Bradford's absence in the second half, freshman QB Landry Jones completed six of 12 passes for 51 yards.
