Vince Young - future Hall of Famer?
Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young made news long ago with his level of intelligence as evidenced by his Wonderlic score. And not in a good way.
Out of a possible score of 50, Young allegedly scored a six.
As Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk points out, Young is now using his intelligence (in other words, lack of it) to make a bold prediction about his future.
In an interview with Mark Warren of Esquire Magazine, Young says, "I don't know when I'll start again. But I will be the next black quarterback to win a Super Bowl. And I will be in the Hall of Fame."
Young, the third overall pick in 2006, has had a bumpy road since winning the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
He admitted after his rookie season that he considered calling it quits. Last September, he went missing and Titans coach Jeff Fisher used the word "suicidal" to describe Young's state of mind.
Earlier this off-season, Young issued an ultimatum saying that if he doesn't start that he wants out. He later tried to change his tune.
Now, he's predicting a Hall of Fame career? Are you serious? To me, it seems more likely that Young will be out of the league in three years.
