The Monday Blitz

On the Denver Broncos' depth chart, WR Brandon Marshall was on the second team. On the first team: Eddie Royal, Jabar Gaffney and Brandon Stokley.

The Bears held defensive tackle Tommie Harris out of practice on Monday.

The Dolphins have added kicker Connor Barth to create some training camp competition with Dan Carpenter.

Cowboys running back Felix Jones was held out of the morning practice on Monday with a sore toe.

Carolina Panthers receiver Steve Smith was carted off the field with a shoulder injury, but the X-rays were negative.

The Lions signed defensive tackle Shaun Smith to a one-year deal, according to Tom Kowalski of MLive.com

He will replace Jared DeVries, who was lost to the season with a ruptured Achilles.

Both back-up Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb (sprained left knee) and linebacker Trent Cole (sprained left shoulder) suffered injuries at training camp.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick is happy to have added Greg Lewis in a trade for two draft picks.
