L.T. likely to play in pre-season?
In his eight-year career, Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson has carried the ball 14 times in the pre-season. In the past three years, he has no pre-season carries.
So, what are the chances that he plays this pre-season?
“From what I've been told, it's pretty encouraging,” LaDainian Tomlinson told Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune Monday. “So I'd say it's 85 percent. This year could be different. I wouldn't rule out me playing.”
As Acee points out, Tomlinson has a history of starting the season slowly in the first two weeks. Getting a few carries in the pre-season might help him and the team get off to a quicker start.
Last year, Tomlinson battled a toe injury all season and had the least productive season in his career. He still finished with 1,110 rushing yards.
