Knowshon Moreno to miss only 1-2 weeks
Denver Broncos rookie running back Knowshon Moreno, the first pick of the Josh McDaniels era, suffered a mild medial collateral ligament (MCL) sprain during the team's first pre-season game Friday against the 49ers, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
Moreno had three carries for 18 yards in the game.
“I know that he said he was kind of dinged, but he said he was fine,” said McDaniels. “And then we checked him out and we kept going with him.’’
If Moreno misses two weeks, he'll be able to play in the pre-season finale against the Cardinals on September 3rd. The Broncos open the regular season at Cincinnati.
