Jags, Jennings reach deal
The Jacksonville Jaguars and running back Rashad Jennings have reached an agreement on a four-year deal worth $1.78 million, according to Michael C. Wright of The Florida Times-Union.
The deal isn't official yet, but it could be announced as soon as today, per Wright. There is an escalator in the fourth year of the contract that could increase the total value to $2.5 million.
The running back from Liberty was drafted in the seventh-round.
Jennings, who will compete to back up Maurice Jones-Drew, holds Big South records for rushing attempts (633), rushing yards (3,633) and rushing touchdowns (42).
The Jaguars still haven't signed offensive tackle Eugene Monroe (first round), offensive tackle Eben Britton (second round), defensive tackle Terrance Knighton and cornerback Derek Cox (both third round) and wide receiver Tiquan Underwood (seventh round).
