Plaxico Burress case adjourned until September?
Free-agent receiver Plaxico Burress will have his court case adjourned until September, per Gary Myers of the NY Daily News.
"As far as I'm concerned, if he wants to play this year, he's able to play," [Plaxico's attorney Benjamin] Brafman said. "We will be in and out of the court of Monday morning by 9:15."
However, it may not be up to Brafman and/or Burress. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will likely suspend Burress if he's not spending the 2009 season in jail.
Three teams (Jets, Bucs and Bears) have expressed interest in Burress.
