Braylon Edwards sat out first day of mini-camp
According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Browns receiver Braylon Edwards sat out of the first day of practice at the team's mandatory mini-camp on Thursday with an undisclosed injury.
Edwards said, "I'm physically fine for the most part. Coach Mangini is taking precaution, so I'm just enjoying my time right now, doing some things on the side and following coach's orders."
He also said that "if Mangini told me to play, I'd play."
Mangini said of Edwards: "We're working through it. We'll see how it goes and evaluate it over the course of the weekend."
Although he's on the sidelines, Edwards says he's trying not to "be a bump on a log" by helping the younger receivers and talking to the offensive coordinator about the plays as they are being called.
