Roddy White and Falcons in talks on extension
Per Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Atlanta Falcons and receiver "Rowdy" Roddy White are working on a contract extension.
He is due $2.8 million this year, which is the final season of his five-year rookie contract.
White is hoping to get an extension done before the season so that it's not a distraction, but he participated in the team's mini-camp this weekend.

“As far as the tempo, we kept it pretty high,” White said. “I felt pretty good, getting back out there and getting on the field.”White, the Falcons first-round pick in 2005, has put up strong back-to-back seasons. In the past two seasons, White has caught 171 passes for 2,584 yards and 13 touchdowns.
“It’s a big difference because everybody was learning,” White said. “This year, we’ve got everybody back and the offense is set in stone. We are just working on the basic things and bringing the rookies along.”
