Marcus Freeman to learn from Lance Briggs
Per Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune, the comparisons between Marcus Freeman, the Chicago Bears' fifth-round selection in this year's draft, and Lance Briggs, the Bears' Pro Bowl linebacker, began at the Senior Bowl.
Freeman will be an immediate contributor on special teams and learn behind Briggs at weak-side linebacker.

"I remember my first meeting I had with them at the Senior Bowl, the Bears said I reminded them of Lance Briggs," Freeman said. "That's a huge compliment. Hopefully on the field, I can be half the player he is."Hopefully, Freeman won't take any shaving lessons from Briggs.
"Marcus enjoys life, and he has talent," coach Lovie Smith said. "Good speed and good athletic ability. If you do a little research on him off the field, you like everything you hear from people. Seems like he may be a good addition to our team."
