Holmgren to go from nothing to "something" in 2010?
Mike Holmgren, who recently stepped down as coach of the Seattle Seahawks, wants back in. Not this year. But in 2010.
Before joining the Seahawks, Holmgren was head coach of the Green Bay Packers (1992 to 1998) with Brett Favre as his gun-slinging quarterback.
Considering Favre is likely to unretire (again) to play for the Vikings in 2009 and he'll then re-retire and un-unretire (uggh...my head's spinning trying to keep track), maybe Holmgren and Favre will be reunited in 2010.

"[I'll] take the year off and after next season is over, I plan to go back to work," Holmgren said in an interview with Dave Mahler of KJR 950 AM. "But where and in what capacity, that is really pretty vague. I don't know.Is Holmgren driving his wife, Kathy, crazy at home?
"But I know this: I want to do something. That is pretty much a given."
"I don't think I realized until he stopped coaching how much a part of him it really was," she said. "I'm warming to the idea just a little bit that he'll be back doing something. Something in sports.""Something in sports?" Maybe he makes "interesting comments" a la George Costanza?
