Bears, Pisa Tinoisamoa agree to terms
The Chicago Bears and linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa have agreed to a one-year deal, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times.
Tinoisamoa, who was released by the Rams this month, has led the Rams in tackles in four of the past six seasons.
Biggs calls Tinoisamoa the "frontrunner" to start on the strong side over Hunter Hillenmeyer and Nick Roach.
Tinoisamoa, who was the Rams' second-round pick in 2003, played for Bears coach Lovie Smith and Bears defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Bob Babich in St. Louis.
In 2008, Tinoisamoa led the Rams in tackles with 104 and had two sacks.
