Rams sign Kyle Boller as Bulger's back-up
The St. Louis Rams have agreed to terms with QB Kyle Boller, who spent 2008 on Injured Reserve with the Baltimore Ravens.
In either case, Frerotte or Boller would have served as back-up to Marc Bulger. However, Boller is ten years younger than Frerotte.
For his career, Boller, the Ravens' first-round pick in 2003, has completed 56.9 percent of his passes for 7846 yards. He has thrown 45 touchdowns and 44 interceptions.
"We are happy to add Kyle to our roster," said Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo. "We feel that he will be a valuable addition to our team."The Rams were negotiating with Gus Frerotte, who was released by the Minnesota Vikings in February. However, talks with Frerotte broke down.
