Dolphins cut QB John Beck
The Miami Dolphins have released QB John Beck according to the Miami Herald.
Beck was drafted by the one-and-done Cam Cameron administration in the second round of the 2007 draft class.
Before the NFL draft, it was expected that the 'Fins would let Beck go. When the Dolphins drafted West Virginia QB Pat White in the second round on Saturday and said he would compete at the QB position - and not at WR, the writing was on the wall.
The 2009 starter is Chad Pennington and White and Chad Henne, last year's second-round pick, will compete for the starting gig in 2010.
Beck is all class. It deserves to be mentioned that after being let go, he called to thank many Dolphins' employees per the Miami Herald.
