Charlie Batch back with Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers will re-sign QB Charlie Batch to back-up Ben Roethlisberger. Batch will earn a base salary of $745,000.

Byron Leftwich, who served as Roethlisberger's back-up after Batch got hurt last year, signed a two-year contract with the Bucs.

Batch served as primary back-up in 2007 when he completed 17 of 36 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw three interceptions.

The other QB in the roster is Dennis Dixon, who was drafted in the fifth round last year.
