Cato June to join Houston Texans

The Houston Texans and linebacker Cato June have agreed to terms on a one-year contract. June's contract is worth $1.5 million but could reach $2 million.

In addition to June, the Texans agreed to terms with MLB Buster Davis. June is expected to compete with Xavier Adibi for the starting job as the weak-side linebacker.

June played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the past two seasons before being released.

In his last season with the Colts (2006), June recorded 142 tackles, one sack and had three interceptions. In 2007 and 2008 with the Bucs, June had 141 tackles, no sacks and two interceptions in the two seasons.
