Burress used F bombs when pulled over
Plaxico Burress, who was recently released by the New York Giants, should be on his best behavior while his attorney Benjamin Brafmin attempts to negotiate a plea deal with the NYC D.A.'s office. Having his case adjourned to mid-June, Burress is facing a gun-possession charge that carries a minimum sentence of 3 1/2 years and a maximum sentence of 15 years.
However, it's Plaxico's lack of good judgment that often gets him in trouble with either the law, the NFL or his team (when he's on one).
Per James Fanelli of the New York Post, Burress had a profanity-laden run-in with an officer in Florida after a traffic stop. The officer said that he pulled over Burress, because he was driving like "he was going to kill somebody."
On March 1st, Burress was pulled over as well and received four motor-vehicle violations then.
Burress is unlikely to avoid jail time and/or a league suspension. Although I'm not sure how this affects his potential plea deal, I wouldn't be surprised if it leads to less leniency by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell when determining the duration of his future suspension.

"F- - - you! You're going to be in a lot of trouble. I know the sheriff personally," the receiver raged at Broward County Deputy Sheriff Donald Harris during the March 18 traffic stop, police said. Not only did Burress make the threat to the deputy sherriff, he apparently lied about having the connection as the sheriff says that he "never met" Burress.
