Steelers to begin title defense vs Titans

In week 16 of the regular season, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tennessee Titans met at LP Field in Nashville. The Titans won that game 31-14 and locked up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

In that game, some Titans' players stomped on the "terrible towel." While the Steelers never got their rematch (since the Titans lost to the Ravens in the divisional round), they did get the last laugh by winning Super Bowl XLIII.

Per the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, the Steelers will host the Titans in the NFL season opener on Thursday, September 10th at Heinz Field.

The full 2009 schedule should be released in April.
