Snag in Arrington's deal with Denver
It was reported that the Denver Broncos signed RBs Correll Buckhalter and J.J. Arrington to 4-year contracts. However, Arrington's deal is not done yet and a contract glitch may prevent the deal from getting done.
Brian Dawkins, who signed a 5-year contract with the Broncos, is happy for his former-Eagles teammate.
"J.J's back in Arizona," said [Arrington's agent J.R.] Rickert. "The deal's not dead yet."Rickert, who's also Buckhalter's agent, says Buckhalter's deal is complete.
Brian Dawkins, who signed a 5-year contract with the Broncos, is happy for his former-Eagles teammate.
"Man, I'm so happy for Buck," Dawkins said. "Being his teammate for so long, and the things he's had to endure and the injuries he's had to sustain and not always being able to put it on the football field, for whatever reason, if he's not being used or the injury. For him to get this opportunity to show what he can do, I am so happy for him."Buckhalter has as good of a chance to be the starter as anyone else currently on the roster. However, that would likely change if the Broncos agree to terms with free-agent Derrick Ward, who's in town today.
