Cutler and Broncos not on same page
The Denver Broncos and QB Jay Cutler had a conference call on Monday. Per the Denver Post, the outcome of the call depends on whom you ask.
If you ask the Broncos, it went well. If you ask Jay Cutler, it went horribly.
The Broncos still say they won't trade Cutler, but point out that any player can be traded at any time.
Cutler, on the other hand, would prefer to be traded if the Broncos aren't committed to him for the long-term.
Cutler certainly has the physical tools to be a "franchise QB" in the NFL. But does he have the maturity and mental make-up to be a "franchise QB"?
The team begins its off-season "voluntary" workout program on Monday. Cutler hasn't yet said whether or not he'll show. Even though the off-season conditioning programs are "voluntary," players are expected to show.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Broncos trade Cutler, who has a lot of value on the trade market, if he doesn't show for off-season workout program.
