49ers "not closing the door" on T.O.
Will Terrell Owens end up where he began?
It may not be likely, but the San Francisco 49ers, who drafted T.O. in the 3rd round of the 1996 NFL draft, have "not closed the door" on the possibility of pursuing the Owens.
Owens, who played for the Niners from 1996 to 2003, has 951 career receptions, 14122 career receiving yards and 139 career receiving TDs.
Perhaps there are a few teams (New England and Pittsburgh as examples) that have coaches and leaders that could handle Owens. And if T.O. were on their team and out of line, they would most likely handle it behind the scenes.
But T.O. in San Fran with Mike Singletary? Who wouldn't love to see one of his "I'd-rather-play-with-10-people-and-just-get-penalized" rants directed towards T.O.? Even better if he's mooning him.

Brian Murphy, co-host of the "Murph & Mac" morning show, "So official statement from the 49ers: 'Not closing the door?'"The 49ers signed Brandon Jones this off-season and he's currently the #1 WR on their depth chart. Talent-wise, however, T.O. would be a huge upgrade over Jones.
"Correct," [49ers GM Scott] McCloughan said.
