Two Southern Miss players arrested
After rounds of gunfire were discharged at the apartment complex for Southern Miss football players, senior Damion Fletcher, the team's all-time leading rusher, was arrested for discharging a firearm, which is a misdemeanor.
Teammate and back-up OL Brennan Houston was also arrested on possession of marijuana, which is a misdemeanor as well.
Police were called to the apartment complex on September 26th because of gunshots, but nobody was arrested then.

“Guys were just hanging out of their doors just looking that direction,” [So. Miss adjunct professor Malachi] Martin said. “It was obviously gunfire, and they heard it too. There were just people milling around, getting in and out of their cars and acting like nothing was happening.”Although the Hattiesburg Police Dept. spokesman says nobody was hurt, but who acts "like nothing was happening" when gun shots are being fired?
