Tom Brady: "I'm feeling great"
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady had a conversation with Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe. While he admitted to initially having a setback in his rehab, but says he's on track now.
What the franchise does with the $15-million, franchised, back-up QB Matt Cassel will tell us everything. If they trade him, Brady is doing fine. If they don't trade him, then the Patriots are probably worried about Brady being ready to go.
“I think initially I said there was [a setback],” Brady said. “Since then, there has been nothing. Just working hard on my rehab. I’m feeling great. I’m feeling really good. Everything is progressing just as I expected."Reiss asked if he expects to be ready for camp.
“You know, Bill never likes us to forecast anything. It’s like me asking you guys ‘are you going to be doing your job in eight months?’ Yeah, you certainly think so. There is no reason why I shouldn’t,” he said.Considering the secretive nature of the organization, I'm not sure we should believe anything that Brady or Belichick or any Patriot says. There is no obligation for him to be honest and disclose anything/everything.
