Hall of Fame's 17 finalists announced today
The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced their 17 finalists for the Class of 2009 today. They are (in alphabetical order):
The announcement will be made on 1/31 at 2:30 p.m. The enshrinement will take place on August 8th in Canton, Ohio.

Cris CarterThe candidates will be narrowed down to 7 candidates (5 modern-era and 2 senior). From there, the committee will select at least 4 and no more than 7 players for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
