Walter Jones to miss rest of season
Seattle Seahawks LT Walter Jones will miss the rest of the season after having surgery on his knee. Jones missed last week's game against the Patriots and was expected to miss this week's game against the Rams.
Jones, who is now 34, has had two shoulder surgeries in the past two seasons. With the wear that Jones' body has taken over his 12-year career, The Olympian asks whether the Seahawks should use what will be a high draft pick in next year's draft to replace Jones.

"If you look at Walter Jones (as done), you're making a huge mistake, Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said. "He has a little knee injury, but he was having a great year. He was on his way to the Pro Bowl again. He might still go to the Pro Bowl. I think around the league, he's still recognized as one of the guys.I agree with Holmgren, but I'm a firm believer that teams should draft the best player available in the first round regardless of position. And if that happens to be a LT like Alabama's Andre Smith, the 2008 recipient of the Outland Trophy, then he should become a Seahawk. And then fill in areas of need throughout the later rounds of the draft.
"But every team has to look at how they're going to fix things. You don't want to get too many players too old. But I don't think he fits into that category. I think with Walter, as long as he's playing like he's playing, you let him play as long as he wants to play."
