Fred Taylor placed on IR
Fred Taylor has spent his entire 11-year career as a Jacksonville Jaguars' RB. During those 11 seasons, he has had 7 1000-yards rushing campaigns and has accumulated enough rushing yards to place him 16th on the all-time list.
This season, however, Taylor has been limited to 556 rushing yards on 143 carries in 13 games. But Jacksonville has struggled with injuries to their offensive line.
Now, Taylor's season is over and he's been placed on IR with a thumb injury. With a salary of $6 million in 2009, will Taylor be back?

"All of that still has to handle itself," said Taylor, a first-round pick in 1998 who has played his entire career in Jacksonville. "I don't know how it's going to play out."Although there are a couple of active players (Edgerrin James and LaDainian Tomlinson) in between where Taylor is now and #10 all-time, Taylor currently needs 972 yards rushing to tie Marcus Allen for 10th all-time.
"I never really wanted to be away from here to begin with," he said. "I just said I'm going to play football whether it's here or not. ... I'm not going to go, but there's a business side of it. I don't want to go is what I'm saying. It is my plea. I don't want to go."
