Carson Palmer to test arm
Carson Palmer hasn't thrown a football that mattered since week 5 of the NFL season in Dallas. But he will throw towards the end of this week and the outcome will determine whether or not he has reconstructive surgery.
"Like I keep saying, if I knew I had to have the surgery, I'd already have it done," Palmer said. "I'll see what the doctors say, have it checked out and go with a professional decision from a doctor."The Bengals are 1-10-1 this season (0-4 with Palmer). Bengals' President Mike Brown thinks the Bengals will "rebound" with Palmer back. They will need a lot more than a healthy Carson Palmer.
"I'll just be starting to throw," he said. "You don't jump back on the bike and go off 10-foot jumps. You just kind of start 10-, 12-yard throws, 50 percent, 60 percent and so on, and then make a determination on the surgery — who knows? — a week, two weeks after that. It depends on how far in the progression I get."
